函館 > 洞爺湖 > 札幌 > /住札幌 <--- can be a long and tough day... strongly against it if you go in winter. - #30 [sbug], 09-06-30 00:14BTW, really Hate Cathy Service and the food!!!!!!!!!
But I like their Video List... I found 2 Episods of 香港 85, one of the episodes starring by 劉德華! -
- #29 [sbug], 09-06-30 00:07you will be surprise :)
according to the GPS, from 洞爺湖 to 小樽 will take 4.5hrs... it's totally off the reality. - #28 [Eddie Wan], 09-06-30 00:02"I always take 1/3 to 1/2 of the time it's mention"
It is understood as the web calculator assumes you drive at 80km/hr on highways. - #27 [sbug], 09-06-29 23:54Frankly, I was kind of scare at 160km but my gf seems perfectly normal. Today I had dinner with her mom and her, we mentioned the speed at 160km, her mom said "It's only what, 80, 90mph? That's not too fast." seems ppl in England is pretty get used to this high speed.
Frankly, I just can't help it when I was driving on a car-less highway. I just keep pressing the padel harder and harder...
Eddie Wan:
Don't trust the GPS on time. It's totally screw up. I always take 1/3 to 1/2 of the time it's mention. Only trust to Distance and calcuate the time with your own speed. The only traffice I had was near Sapporo City. Rest is traffic free (not sure in July or Aug thou...) - #26 [Eddie Wan], 09-06-29 23:44sbug,
I think with my whole family in car, I will drive at half of your speed at country side.
The shoot with you really can tell that you are really excited, like a kid with a toy. - #25 [HappyHeart], 09-06-29 23:42One question, was it necessary to drive at high speed ? You were taking yr vacation with GF, not racing with Nikki Lauda. Safety is the first priority you should concern, not speed.....
- #24 [sbug], 09-06-29 23:33hahah, my max speed was 160km/hr on Paid Highway. Avg Speed was 130-140km/hr on paid highway, 100km/hr on mountain or city side round.
BTW, Nissan March is a really good car. Even at 160km, the inner noise are too bad and very steady. - #23 [HappyHeart], 09-06-29 23:24開得............快左D咁wor !

Finally got home today and feel so so tired.... sorting and resizing pictures right now.
Eddie:
Yes, my gf took this shot while I was driving. She said I was as exciting as a kids with candies when I was driving in this route. No doubt it's one of the best driving experience.
Route from Otaruo to Furano. - #21 [Eddie Wan], 09-06-29 12:03sbug,

- #17 [HL07], 09-06-29 10:54The park is 600 yen for 1 day, very close to Otaru river
- #16 [sbug], 09-06-29 10:50these are what we brought back:
Included 5Kg of rice! - #15 [sbug], 09-06-29 10:32Eddie,
I will sort out the photos tonight :)
Parking in Otaru is easy if you welling to pay. Around 100Yen/20mins or so. If you want to find free parking spot in city center, it's not easy but there are. I found the spot :) Otaru City center is not that big, what I can do was park in Hotel Parking (paid for 24hrs) and walk. However, I was too lazy to walk at that time. - #14 [CCB], 09-06-29 10:29Day 3 seems long drive. I did that once and I stop in 二世古 for one night. And the drive from 二世古 to 小樽 (seaside) is very pretty!
In your case, I will drive day 3 from 函館 to 洞爺湖, rest for onsen.
Day 4 from 洞爺湖 (check out ard 10am) to 小樽, then after visit 小樽, back to 札幌.
函館 major for the night scene and also the morning seafood market. So if you don't have enough time, stay one less day in 函館 but spend one more day in 札幌. - #13 [taichai], 09-06-29 09:41找 Autohoilday 問下啦!
