- #62 [嚦嚦二世], 15-05-10 12:49my wife just got her wallet pick-pocketed in London yesterday, there are many professionals from Eastern Europe in London, anyone visiting there should be more careful.

It is very active among the hot spots, museums, Big Ben and London Eye. Their usual trick is one pretending to be a tourist and asking for direction and while taking your attention away there will be another one pick-pocketing your belongings from your blind spot. The busier the location the higher chances they will get away.
Overall the situation in London is better then most European cities but you can't be too careful.
Apart from Travelodge another budget hotel could be considered will be Premier Inn. Their service and facilities are slightly better. -

Agree!

PICKPOCKETS' TACTICS
Watch these videos for the tricks of the pickpockets and the tell-tale signs. - #68 [fotheringay], 15-05-10 21:33Used to travel with Tubes a lot and knew those guys in action.
At one time one of them approached me and I was certain that he was a pickpocket so I played a little game with him.
I told him, after asking me for direction, "Oh really? you asked me the same question two years ago(just made up) and you still couldn't find your way out? I better call the police for you then. Stay here."
He just ran off like Speedy Gonzales. - #69 [dlbf], 15-05-10 22:20志哥好嘢!
