I am not in a position and will not have any advice with regards to your choice. It’s one you have to make for yourself.
What I can say is that it seems to me you do have the resources and available knowledge to manoeuvre your future plan to suit your need.
I guess the best way is to liaise your different families or friends in the UK to work out a smooth journey to enjoy.
You are not only spending your time but also theirs as well. It may need to take more than one trip but it seems no issues to you. And you seem to have the ability to choose the timing of the journey which makes so much easier and flexible. -
- #739 [fotheringay], 23-06-10 23:07@737,
If you compared to Blair’s era and you definitely would put the Tory way more corrupted and dysfunctional than the Labour’s.
All parties and individuals with government will have received certain levels of criticism. What we require from them is to hold up their integrity and accountability. Unfortunately with the Tory it’s rotten from top down to its ministers.
How can the Home Secretary survive her job is beyond me.
The only person is doing a proper job is the defence secretary. He is dealing with external present and clear situation and being from the army background he knows what he needs to act on. He is doing to protect the country and against tyranny as we always have done through out the past.
That said, I don’t blame BoJo for his action because he is a career politician so he does what he needs to do, either to dissolve the current crisis or to make himself less pushed to the corner and hopefully he could revive once again.
I just don’t like him as a person.
I just hate the Tory for their damages done to the UK in general. - #738 [new+man], 23-06-10 21:50Thank you for the #735 reply! That means if cost is not a too
serious concern, one may visit UK 3 times a year and stay there
for 2 months, or, visit UK 2 times a year and stay for 3 months
without any problem? What's in my mind is that, since buying
a relatively small apartment (for just 2 adults) seems to be not
too expensive in UK even in the city, e.g. with 300000 pound, I
can buy one and ask my friends to check it occasionally (may
pay for this extra help), and then keep travelling to UK several
times every year. Right? What will be your kind comment or
reminder on this idea? Many thanks! - #737 [Drhandguns], 23-06-10 21:07#732 >>He and his party have ruined the country for far too long
The same can be said about many Prime Ministers and their parties over the years. Do you think that Cameron, Blair or even Brown were saints? - #736 [fotheringay], 23-06-10 20:10Joe Gor,
Sadly I will have to say never write BoJo off so soon. His resources and fan base will allow him to come back.
Watch this space. - #735 [fotheringay], 23-06-10 20:08@new+man,
I presume you are from HK and either holding BNO or HKSAR passport and in which case you don’t need a visa for visiting family and you can stay up to 6 moths.
It depends on which time you are planing to visit your family as the seasons and month will dictate how your holiday will be spent in the UK.
Would like to know more before I would suggest otherwise.
Thank you! - #732 [fotheringay], 23-06-10 03:20Boris Johnson steps down as MP with immediate effe.

It comes too late and too little but still it is very exciting to know it’s the end of his political career.
He and his party have ruined the country for far too long.
I am drinking to this for much jubilation.

2023-03-12 10:46:33 - #730 [fotheringay], 23-03-12 09:04Indeed it was very unfortunate.
It's a known fact that Lineker got a bit carried away, as he tends to do. Don't we all?
With regards to " 至於關唔關保守黨事, 我相信就算係工黨執政, 以現時嘅經濟狀況, 佢哋都會出同一招 " I don't quite get your point.
Are you suggesting that BBC bows to the Troy because BBC is subject to mercy with license fees and public funding? If so I am not so sure.
I believe the fundamental issue is that Tim Davie appointed as Director General of BBC in 2020 and his mission is root to his calling of "impartiality".
However, his advocate of some high profile should take more responsibility in social media and principle of "impartiality" don't seem to work under the leadership of his and the BBC Chairman Richard Sharp.
- #728 [fotheringay], 23-03-12 05:58The same for Alex Scott wearing “One Love “ armband in 2022 Qatar World Cup when players were banned by FIFA.
Why? Because it’s not the Troy she criticised. - #727 [tonylaibach], 23-03-12 03:29Someone brought up a good point: if Lineker was "allowed" to criticize Qatar at World Cup, why couldn't he criticize his own country now?
I quoted from National Union of Journalists (NUJ)
"Yielding to sustained political pressure in this way is as foolish as it is dangerous."
Lineker and CO’s.

- 下一頁 (2 of 39)
