正如十幾年前gc8既ej207進化到08年ver既ej207,引擎強度及威力一樣大幅增加...gc8年代既ej207其實一樣易冧,馬力powerband不足,改裝承受力亦不足.....但去到08年ver,低扭至高轉都有,承受力強...原裝308匹,原裝機器已經可以承受接近400匹輸出,加埋套4驅+dccd+vsc,講真,唔差lor...
我覺得既然fa20未成熟,不如唔好出新款住啦..依家11代變左4不像......睇死佢過兩年中途就轉新engine... :p - #23 [skyliner], 14-08-28 13:53M235個價已連泊車cam. M235係2系最高級別, 大部份option已跟車.
through load system, 香港地又無長途車揸, 有無成日坐坐下車去尾箱拎野.

"I had a chance to talk with STI development team guy in Osaka Motor Show in 2013. He told that FA20 DIT doesn't suit well for motor sports.
Also, FA20 DIT has been rumored that over revolution can easily damage the motor. We believe this vulnerability for over revolution must be one of the reason why JDM WRX S4, that will be used for circuit track sports driving, couldn't have 6MT. You know, CVT + ECU combionation can easily manage to stop over revolution"

"Nothing to do with di. Something is inherently weaker about the fa at high revs. The cvt "benefit" is the ability to sense an over-rev, even a mechanical one, and kick it into neutral, or whatever the cvt equivalent of that is"

Agree, flat torque band and fuel economy are 市場潮流, therefore it's necessary to improve the FA series engine before an even more robust version can come out
BTW how many years have the FA/FB been in the market? And how many for the EJ/EZ?
The EJ is a very mature engine esp. after so many generations (one MotorImage rep even said it's "a very good engine"), so it's safe to stick to that on the STI before something even better comes out (and worry about fuel economy later)
