Don't waste your money.
Oyster from Northern hemisphere is very thin because they just ended their fertilization.
In the other hand, oyster from Southern hemisphere is not fully ready yet. - #129 [jaxx1], 14-04-10 01:15Very nice chopboard! Thanatos hing
- #128 [tsuichuk], 14-04-09 20:10有無師兄話我知,e個時候買邊度產既蠔呢?

The beauty is, if you find the sweet spot at the hinge, it simply gives way, and every oyster is different. - #125 [seanbeer], 14-02-25 00:00Texture I remember was very 爽.
Nice purchases! Once arrived, u need to order more, it's the addiction not the real need. Enjoy! - #124 [Thanatos], 14-02-24 19:51Another oyster knife arrives today, designed by Porsche, made of 301 steel, for smaller species. Notice that the tip is extremely sharp and pointed, should enable an effortless shucking.

- #121 [Thanatos], 14-02-24 19:47Sean, the texture should be nice (firmer than oysters) if chilled enough, of course they need to be fresh for a firm texture.
最後修改時間: 2014-02-24 19:56:35 - #120 [seanbeer], 14-02-24 11:38i just think its too much meat in your mouth feeling and the texture isn't very nice when uncooked, maybe if cut in to sashimi style like japanese food i will be ok.
if free, i am also ok.. - #119 [Thanatos], 14-02-24 08:54We need a very sharp tip to enter deep into the hinge, a superficial entry easily fractures the shell, causing the knife to slip and thus injuring the shucker, a sharper tip is safer in this sense.
A deeper penetration into the joint also means a more efficient shucking and requires much less brute force.
The only drawback of a sharp tip is, it breaks easily. Besides the kind of steel, this diamond shaped tip does not break easily.
Sean, agreed that many people find them too heavy in taste and too sea-water like, but my mom and wife like them a lot...... - #118 [seanbeer], 14-02-24 08:08cherry stone clam, i am not a fan.
- #117 [嚦嚦二世], 14-02-24 07:12very sexy looking knife, but looks a bit lethal...
- #116 [Thanatos], 14-02-23 11:55Cheers! I also want to try some cherry stone clams this week, perhaps after my new oyster knife arrives, which is now awaiting collection at the post office.
- #115 [Kenny], 14-02-22 21:10Thanatos; thanks for the info. Enjoy your oysters ^_^
- #114 [Thanatos], 14-02-18 13:07"Own effort" plus anticipation (while waiting for the shucking) certainly increase appetite.
We opened and ate one by one instead of opening them in batches.
If you lay 20 opened oysters in front of you, the appetite is much less than opening and eating them one by one. - 下一頁 (3 of 9)
