- #495 [Leben], 22-03-12 12:30Beautiful @JCR....
The Strietman is lovely....I was unaware...lost in my Linea Mini.
But the Strietman is expensive, for such a simple machine....but is you like expresso, then it makes no sense to buy anything else.

La Pavoni is compact yet a real espresso maker. Just need a bit of elbow power and some learning.
A good alternative if you don't need to froth milk is the Strietman, open kettle design, easy and quick to make a nice shot.

Indeed. It was that long.
Yes still here.
We must have some of your coffee shots also. Loved those crema that you can extract from your La Pavoni - #491 [JCR33], 22-03-08 07:44Hi Leben,
Long time no see. Guess it was almost 10 years ago when we met up at John's place doing coffee.
Are you still in HKG? - #490 [audionote300b], 22-03-07 00:23Haha, single one for each time, may be 200g-300g for one bean. Roast every Sundays. Most of it are for hand drip. I tried for about a year. I find the beans at this stage fit me. May be varies later. Normally 2 cups a day!
- #489 [Leben], 22-03-06 18:36@audionote300b, et al, are you using blend of beans or single origin?
What about flavour profile aims.
Also note that most of you are roasting to almost french roast level....Any particular views on that?
Thanks - #488 [audionote300b], 22-03-06 15:58some more batches…

Have been using it, easy for foaming cold milk . - #484 [hahayanyan], 22-03-05 10:30i use a small glass french press for cold milk frothing
depending on the texture of the cold milk is needed.. ,the frothing may be 2 stages.... as some people prefer thick Milk foam at top... ( thick foam never good to mix with the coffee for actual drinking too ), so thicker milk foam at top..., thinner frothing milk at the bottom drink..etc..)
and depending on what my friends want ...cocktail shaker is needed too
i love cocktail making 15 yrs agooooooooooooooo
and i only drink black without sugar.. haha
haha - #483 [Leben], 22-03-05 00:34Img

@designer, Good to know that. Wonderful grinder for sure....
Also Hahayanyan..What do you use for your cold coffee?
I find that the stainless steel milk frother is very good....
