Few year ago, one Grohe kitchen tape was more than hk$5K. If the Cartridge is few hundred to one thousand, it is comparative price to fix it by diy.

Years ago, I replaced Grohe cartridge due to high faucet price, $1700, made in Germany. Cartridge was around $450. Now, individual cases vary.
