我以前中學響佢隔離,從來冇聽過有任何同學會 "目及" 佢哋啲女,淨係聽到啲同學話覺得佢地啲女個個都好似阿嬋。
傳統名校大部份都係死讀書,咁多間我只係覺得女拔嘅教學同埋考試方式會比較「活」同埋真係會啟發思考。 - #13 [phil.ng], 21-05-16 11:10#12 x n

Feel sorry for you and most HK parents!
朋友多年前在 St. Paul’s coed, 考 數學題丶 教師look for one single answer(普通學生只可能有一答案), 但用大學角度 或資優丶think out of the box丶有多個可能丶因個問題未有 well define!!! - #8 [ich], 21-05-16 10:24#1
First of all, 有兩樣fundamental mistakes:
1) particle在particle theory context 下通常指 fundamental particles 中學會話係呢D: proton, electron....
Water molecules係指H2O, 兩粒hydrogen atoms+ 1粒 oxygen atom. 中學會話particle binding.
2) 酒精加水會有volume contraction,要計數先搵到final volume,或者用alcoholmeter 去度 final concentration.

教科書上寫: there are empty spaces between particles.
我應理解錯這句英文. empty spaces 不等同 no spaces.
但是, 教科書說: smaller particles pass through bigger particles, 原因應不是二者的size大小不同吧.
應是smaller particles 能 pass through the spaces between bigger particles , 是嗎?
咁 bigger particles 係咪都可以 pass through the space between smaller particles 呢? 因既然所有particles are moving , 及 space between partices 非固定.
另問, space 到底應否加 s ? 我見教科書上有, 但網上有些講particle theory 又沒加 s
最後修改時間: 2021-05-16 09:38:04 - #6 [nogoldear], 21-05-16 09:14我就係睇唔明 particle theory 既講 empty spaces between particles,
但又講 : particles moves all directions randomly , 及實驗証明smaller particle go through bigger particles.
若 no spaces between particles, particles 不是不能 move 嗎 ?
水流過沙, 不是因為沙particles 之間有space 嗎? - #5 [phil.ng], 21-05-16 09:10The Five points of Particle Theory are:
1)All Matter is made up of tiny particles, invisible to the naked eye
2)All particles in a pure substance are the same. Different substances are made up of different particles
3)Particles have spaces between them, regardless of size.
4)Particles move faster and spread more when heated
5)The particles in a substance are attracted to eachother. The strength of the attractive force depends on the particle.
5)The particles in a substance are attracted to each other. The strength of the attractive force depends on the particle.
If a particle is negative, it will attract a positive particle and they will stay close together, rather than apart, unlike a positive vs positive, and negative vs negative. This concept is like one of a magnet, positive attracts negative, negative attracts positive.
Particles have space between them, regardless of size. E.i: In a solid, all of the particles still have space between them, but they are much smaller than gasses' particle's spaces. In a liquid, the spaces between the particles are bigger than a solid's, but much smaller than a gasse's. Particles are always vibrating against each other. Even though you cannot see or feel any of this, it still does happen. (ask me questions, I'll explain)
The Particle Theory
Particles move faster (vibrate faster) and spread out more because the heat transmits more energy into them, causing the particles to vibrate more rapidly. For example, it's just like when you step on a very hot pavement in your bare feet. That makes you move a lot faster.
A pure substance is a substance in which all of the particles in it are of the same making it homogeneous, while A heterogeneous mixture is a mixture of pure substances and other heterogeneous mixtures that come to mix many different particles around, not allowing it to be a pure substance. All particles in a pure substance are the same. Different substance different particles. A way to explain this would be: You have a mixed fruit cup, and a glass of distilled water, which one do you think is more 'Pure'?
Same particles Mixed particles
3)Particles have space between them, regardless of size.
4) particles move faster and spread out more when heated. - #4 [phil.ng], 21-05-16 09:06Can this help
- #3 [phil.ng], 21-05-16 09:02Try thinking “sand and water”
- #2 [mcdull], 21-05-16 08:50the spaces between particles is not fixed.
- #1 [nogoldear], 21-05-16 08:45其中之一property : there are empty spaces between particles.
若如此, 又如何解釋 smaller particles pass through bigger particles
例如 : 當水和酒精混合, water particles 走進了 alcohol particles , 從而令到volume 沒改變.
謝謝. - 返回 ...
