Could you explain a bit more? I couldn't find your news and don't understand what happened.
But the Sqair model is still available.
https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.1.38c97739P2yzhc&id=601500296283&ns=1&abbucket=5#detail - #29 [Kenny], 20-07-21 18:32It is certainly an interesting read from Taobao about Smart Air
I cannot read the details of SGS safety certificate. I cannot find any safety logo from the webpage.
It claims it's bigger products have been banned unfairly by Taobao because of safety concerns reported by CCTV. So they would go obtain a safety certificate and put it onto the unit.

- #28 [zbigniew821], 20-07-21 18:28#22 very cheap! perhaps we share data later :)
- #27 [zbigniew821], 20-07-21 18:27#24 I almost bought this.
Did you import from Amazon or the site directly?
The design rules everything for this model when 'look' is a primary factor. - #26 [zbigniew821], 20-07-21 18:26#25
I agree with what you said ... but many won't use HEPA more than 12 or 13 ... cos there''re test that 12 is a balance for getting the air through. Of course one could design an extreme air flow with super Hepa standard, but that could be huge ... but once we open the windows ... anyway it's a compromise in reality.
https://smartairfilters.com/en/blog/weaker-filter-stronger-purifier/
I certainly won't expect to use the 1k sensor for life ... it's reality ... luckily i am not living in industrial area.

- #22 [shektau6], 20-07-21 17:34https://blatn.com/products/blatn-br-smart-pm1-0-pm10-pm2-5-air-monitor-vocs-formaldehyde-detector
I bought this from taobao to replace my dylos as the result is comparable and it can also measure HCHO, CO2 andVOC as well.
Interesting company and I have read about his experience using the snapon HEPA before but I didn't realize he actually starts a company for it. - #21 [zbigniew821], 20-07-21 17:18Sorry perhaps my last post:

I am almost as skeptical as you are. So I still tried this time, since I followed this guy's post since 2013, for a long time. He started as a blogger, and the now. Still, he won't have 100% credibility you could say. His products are claimed to have international safety certificate. Well, all things are claimed in China ...
The only products I bought last two years, purely MIC, concept originated by Chinese co, is CZUR scanning gadget. I compared to Fujisu's very expensive ones, which hasn't been updated for years. CZUR truly did innovations, hardware and software wise, which no western or japan co. did in the past ten years. This case really puzzles me.
I hope this exception ... could be more. Finger crossed ... - #19 [Kenny], 20-07-21 16:37

Yes, both MIC. Nowadays it's very hard not to find air purifiers not MIC. Perhaps Hitachi 7k and Daikin's above 5k models? I wanted to buy Daikin, but only like those available in Japan only. Muji and Plusminus zero also MIC. I hope this will change.
I, for 'some reasons', haven't shopped Taobao for a longggg time. Nonetheless, this video is useful.

No guesswork needed.
Available from HK dealer at 2.4hk, directly from SmartAir for 1480RMB - it's actually made by IQAIR - it's made in China too!!!

- #16 [zbigniew821], 20-07-21 16:20The founder of Smartair is an accident. You could browse the 'blog' of the founder dated back to 2013:
https://smartairfilters.com/en/clean-air-blog/posts/page/27/
"Thomas Talhelm
Thomas is an Associate Professor of Behavior Science at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the founder of Smart Air, a social enterprise to help people across the world breathe clean air without shelling out thousands of dollars for expensive purifiers."
He did sell many DIY units to India, Thailand through his social enterprises, since people can't afford expensive air purifiers at 1000HKD, with 300HKD filter costs. The story is too long. Read if you're interested. - #15 [zbigniew821], 20-07-21 16:06#9
Absolutely agree that fan size does matter. One big adv of big fan is even at lower speed, its cleaning power would be much better than small fans at max speed. That's physics.
That Smartair has a range of products from ugly DIY to very big one:
https://smartairfilters.com/cn/en/product-category/air-purifiers/
I wish I could accommodate it and turn it on only at low or middle speed :) - #14 [cornercube], 20-07-21 15:52>>#11..""有酸臭味"",

Cleaned only once after using for 3 months. The filters are very clean. I also use a Sharp in my bedroom. Both running at low fan mode every night. Makes my air conditioner filter easy to clean too.
