32 [shadow-green], 18-04-04 16:48Sorry, the lens I used should be 18mm f3.8
- #33 [shadow-green], 18-04-04 16:52Quite agreed with #31. My own experience also the same but with other camera.
I have read some articles about B/W photos and most of them said that the conversion from colour to B/W is the most ideal. May be the reason is that in the software, we could adjust the grey level of each individual colour tone and this make the picture full of different grey level.
- #35 [fotheringay], 18-04-04 19:28Gery is the “grey area” so as it suggests difficult to define.
Just kidding.
It is digital darkroom so it is not easy to reproduce the great texture of real B&W film, not to mention the grey tone.
With most people getting “used” to the digital era I think we have to accept it with the amateur/semi professional level. - #36 [shadow-green], 18-04-12 09:24Like in the Hifi world, there is still a gap between analogue and digital.

u can use post processing eg lightroom to adjust contrast, highlight, shadows, white and black, exposure etc
even if u use leica monochrome u still need post processing.
