I tried to open the link of A & M Promotions but the link fails. I searched A & M Promotions still found nothing related.

I have used Rothwell and also Harrison Lab. Both good although I like Harrison Lab a bit better.

Anyone knows how I can choose for the correction version of the attenuator for my need?

there are a few options on the site:

version: -10db / -15db / -20db
model: standard/ for source


Some information for my system, when listening to LP, 10 o'clock is the max I can tolerate, 8 o'clock is min I would accept, anything lower than that would be hardly audible. I am using Goldpoint STEPPED attenuator for my pre-amp.

每增加 3dB，sound energy 就會double….

-10dB 大約係吵大交同平時講嘢聲量分別。

我知道iPhone 有App可以測量sound dB level。我知道有人用佢嚟調校超低音。

我覺得YouTube都可能有source 比用戶聽吓唔同sound level。

Those attenuators work between your source and load (input) impedance, both attenuation and sound performance will change on different setups.

#4 多謝師兄推介，試了。細節沒有少了，動態也無損，現在細聲點也可以聽齊所有東西，低音也推了出來。好得。

Rothwell 終於都試埋，-20db。不知道是否因為衰減太多還是不同廠的問題，Rothwell動態吃掉了一些，有D吽吽豆豆。還是Harrison Lab的 -12db 動態好好多，vol掣扭到什麼位置不太重要。

我玩biamp、因為二部後级輸入靈敏度同輸出功率有分别、曾經用過衰减器, 效果不好、且常要因應每首歌不同的高低音去調節、現用K 無源前級效果ok

我都入左Rothwell -20db XLR, 唔覺有負面影響, 反而提升明顯
因為我部DAC同前級個gain大, 搞到DAC行fixed out 個前級唔可以交大vol 過9點鐘...
相反DAC交-23dB 個前級先可以正常交vol, 但明顯聽到損失了細節, 人聲失去了感情...
就係見到呢個post甘就訂左返黎, 真係解決到呢個問題, Rothwell -20db 剛剛底消左DAC既23db, 而家部前級可以開大過10點, 而我部前級既sweet pot 係10-1點鐘左右, 人聲立即鮮活不少, 底音一浸浸出番黎, 呢幾舊水俾得太遲.......

偶然發現了此post,正就想找此方法解決，那用Rothwell還是Harrison labs 好？兩者聲音效果有分別嗎？謝謝

上兩個月入左Harrison labs -10db喜出望外!

有限錢，不妨兩隻都訂回來試試，平過一條入門線，效果令人滿意，也無損細節分析力。
