- #810 [JC8852], 22-11-10 15:38Class A, Integrated Amp : 在 2010 年,大部份 Class A 合併机只有 30 Watt Output.

- #801 [niceday009], 22-10-12 00:22The black module(the zero feedback amp module) in MZ1 or MZ1a is very easy to be damaged due to heat dissipated by the heat sink. The heat sink is very hot due to its 60 watt class A operation.
Not many MZ1 or MZ1a still function nowadays because the module is dead.
I improved the structure in MZ1 heat problem by inserting a epoxy board between heat sink and black module as to isolate the heat radiated by the heat sink

Wow. U really have some special stuffs
Some said that series have a good sounding phono stage too
It seem quite special...
M-Z1a

Completely unknown elsewhere, the Z1 series nevertheless sold extremely well in Japan - a staple of the well-heeled audiophile rigs of the times, alongwith the Exclusive P3 turntable.
The Z1s were Pioneer's entry into 1980s super high-end of the non-NFB kind through the Super Linear Circuit for the voltage amplifying stage.
The SLC works with two transistors : cancelling the non-linearity of the first with the second's non-linearity in reverse mode.
Since there is no NFB loop(s), DC stability is achieved with a double-locked servo regulator.
The output transistors are three pairs of LAPT devices (2SA1187 / 2SC2838) all working in Class A, naturally : the M-Z1 are hot boxes.
Two transformers, select and non-magnetic parts, glass-encased caps with carbon-coating inside glass and special electrode foil, 140µ glass-epoxy boards, OFC wiring - and then some.
At 320,000¥ apiece, this was for the non-compromising indeed, but for the well-heeled only as well. - #799 [niceday009], 22-10-11 22:52I still have a pair 95% new exterior, fully restored and recapped, sound wonderful, fast, detailed and smooth
Not many Pioneer MZ1 still work nowadays
