- #24 [tingmoon], 24-01-25 12:50once I walk around 2nd hand hifi shop where C2 was singing, the boom sound got over the whole room only to produce muddy sound. I asked the boss why such unpleasant issue happened, he then switched from Krell 300il to Rowland 725 mono block, all booming was.gone

I also suffered by this issue.
吾喜歡用EQ 只因為it reduces sound clarity
^_^ - #17 [kayyiu], 11-03-27 21:01they did not change my cross over as i only give than a pair of bass drive to recoil it. it was bacause one of the drive burnt out.
it is a RAM speaker which i put it away for years. i re-isntall it by doing some cleaning and find that i prefer it rather than my current speaker
i will try the resistor first and see what happen.
thanks ching - #16 [donaldb], 11-03-27 18:35Use speaker spike
- #15 [PLL], 11-03-27 14:41Yes, you have to find out the root caused of too strong Bass. Then ..
- #14 [anphil], 11-03-27 13:35The guy possibly changed the gauge size of the inductor. There may be no use for you adding a resistor because it only reduces the loudness of your bass driver unit. Which English speaker is it? It may be possible to have a search on the internet and get the crossover circuit for it. Could you take a photo on your crossover and post it here?
- #13 [kayyiu], 11-03-27 11:32thank for all ching advice
as my bass drive was fixed long time ago, i do not think the shop still remember what they did
i believe the guy actually put more round of wire for my voice coil for my bass drive
i guess i will put a resister on the bass drive
do i need to have special resister for it, which type and grade should i use?
please help again
thanks! - #12 [cpu8088], 11-03-27 09:05unless u know what has been changed and have a measurement made there is no perfect cure.
add a l pad
or as etsang3 suggested move above ground and side walls as it can be -3 to -6db
dont think changing power cables or speaker cables can get that effects. - #11 [JMC], 11-03-27 08:07May try different power cable and using different spikes for your cdplayer.
You have to try and listen - #10 [etsang3], 11-03-26 22:52Try 6" above the ground then 12" then 18" etc..
- #9 [ptcm], 11-03-26 22:32move the speakers away from the wall
- #8 [anphil], 11-03-26 16:49Please check if the component of your speaker crossover was changed. If yes, restore the original value will be the solution. You may ask the guy what he did for your speaker.
- #7 [anthlai], 11-03-26 16:42Simple ask the guy who create the problem fix it.
- #6 [41450686], 11-03-26 16:21Why not just try to add 1ohm resistor at the bass driver?
- #5 [rd3], 11-03-26 15:46>>equalizer
Yes, should be equalizer for it is very handy indeed. - #4 [wonderwoman], 11-03-26 15:41sound trap.
