- #82 [ant33.33], 05-10-04 15:46BTW, condefly2 hing, I am curious about your Supex 900. Is it the original Mk1 wood body version or the later 900 Super version? Thanks.
- #83 [lincoln], 05-10-04 15:53ant33.33...Sade....yes, I've got a UK press. Thanks anyway.

- #84 [condefly2], 05-10-04 15:53ant33.33 Hing,
I doubt my Supex 900 is the MKI but not wood body.
Would you mind to let me know what speaker that you're using now ? - #85 [ant33.33], 05-10-04 16:09You're very welcome lincoln...the UK pressing is actually the best balanced one out of the ones I own (HK and Japanese). You may also wish to try her other albums, although her first one is still my favorite...I also recommend you to try Julia Fordham, also one of my favorites...her 2nd album, Porcelain is very good...
Thanks condefly2 hing. I used to see the Mk1 on ebay a few years back quite frequently but now they all disappeared and I greatly regret not getting one then. I have limited space so can only place 2 pairs of speakers, a pair of Spendor BC1 and a pair of Tannoy 10" reds in 3LZ cabinets (courtesy of lincoln-hing ;) - #86 [condefly2], 05-10-04 16:27ant33.33 Hing,
I used to own a pair of BC-1 about 8 years ago then sold to a friend of mine (for HK$1K), the typical British sound still catch my soul.
I offer 2K for my friend to buy it back but I was turn down by him. - #87 [ant33.33], 05-10-04 16:53condefly2-hing,
Yes, the BC1 really does something special to the midrange and is my favorite for vocals. Most people think that LS3/5a sounds accurate, but once you A/B with BC1 you will find the LS3/5a sounds 'nasal'.
I have been tempted to get rid of mine but I think I will give it no more thought, not wanting a repeat of your story :) - #88 [foxtan], 05-10-04 22:46Hi condefly2,
Your "Old cake" LP stuff collection really make my desktop fill with saliva....... :P
I think we should better nominate you as our honourable "Old Cake" Chairman.......what do you think ant33.33? ^______^ - #89 [edwardfkw], 05-10-04 22:53Hi...brother...
點樣才知道支臂有無內傷????
THX~~~ - #90 [ant33.33], 05-10-04 23:03Hi Foxtan,
Certainly condefly2-hing is qualified to be the chairman of the 'old cake vinyl club' based on the size of my puddle of saliva...hahaha...
Maki, where are you? We need you to confirm condefly2-hing's appointment :) - #91 [Jade], 05-10-04 23:15erictang,

Ben - #94 [erictang], 05-10-04 23:55Hi Jade,
They are cheap-cheap ones. Apart from shipping,
Argo, made in Holland - 3.99GBP
Philips, country of origin not printed, UK I guess - 2.99GBP - #95 [foxtan], 05-10-05 00:01Hi ev910,
Yap! Many "Old Cake" around......
IMHO, your RB250 is not heavy enough to carry the DL103Pro as it is a High Mass Cartridge. A economic solution would be changing the standard counterwieght to those structural modification kit from Origin Live, JA Michell. Changing the tonearm to SME3009R, 309 would certainly give you a wider choice for using those heavy and high mass MC cartridge. - #96 [foxtan], 05-10-05 00:11Hi edwardfkw,
Which tonearm are you using now? - #97 [foxtan], 05-10-05 00:12Hi Ant33.33,
Maki will take the early bird flight in the morning, I guess he is busy with the J gals in the dream......... ^_____^ - #98 [lym], 05-10-05 00:31Yes, I have used DL103R on RB250 and the standard counter weight is too light to balance it. A very very cheap soluction is to go to the metal shops at Reclaimation Street and buy a big 戒指 with the center hole fitting the end of the arm tube. Apply some blue tac and stick the 戒指 with the standard counter weight to make it a heavier counter weight.
- #99 [condefly2], 05-10-05 10:32Hi foxtan/ant33.33,
Thankyou for your nomination for the 'Old Cake' club's chairman, I'm just a collector other than an expert on vinyl stuff. You guys are too exalt me and embarrass me a lot !
I would like to share the good and bad to all R33 fans for being a 'Vinyl Fanatic', no matter its Old Cake stuff & modern stuff.
Don't you guys consent ? - #100 [ant33.33], 05-10-05 11:15Morning foxtan,
I see...no wonder we haven't heard from miki-san yes, he's off to J-land...again...hahaha
Coindefly2-hing,
I agree...although I do not discriminate against modern gears, I tend to prefer 'old cake' gears and I think the other members of the 'old cake' vinyl club are a bunch of guys like-minded who also like and collect 'old cake' vinyl gears, which are not exactly the majority here...
We also like to share our views on those stuff and blow water at the same time...and I think we proposed to nominate you as chairman because you seem to be the most serious collector of 'old cake' stuff amongst us...
Hope Foxtan and Maki hing both share my view... - 下一頁 (5 of 173)

Hi lincoln,
hahaha...although I hope I can be 'young as heart' like you when I get to your age...not that I'm suggesting that you're an old cake :)
BTW, were you able to get a copy of the Sade album I played last time? If not, you're welcome to pick up my extra LP copy next time you're in Happy Valley.
