- #2 [hifisuperfans], 15-01-16 12:18Generally speaking, the smaller the number of power tubes used per channel, the better the sound performance. It is because it is difficult to match those tubes used. 1 or 2 power tubes per channel is preferred.
- #3 [jh], 15-01-16 12:26Thanks Ching.
But more tube meaning more power, don't you agree?
JA30 uses 2 tube per channel, JA100 uses 4 tube per block. The output is 30W vs 80W. -

In that case, wouldn't the KT-150 gives you even more power and only 1 pair of output tube per side ... :-) - #5 [macuser1], 15-01-16 15:37I'm a JA80 user and very happy with the performance of it.
- #6 [hifisuperfans], 15-01-16 17:18For tube amp, you need a pair of high sensitivity speakers(over 90 dB). So tube amp output power is not important.
- #7 [idt2000], 15-01-16 20:34Not really true fewer tube gets better sound performance. Sound quality mainly determined from its build quality only! What I really concern is, Jadis no longer uses point to point hand wired technology, they use circuit board to build their products already! But I am not sure is it just a rumour?
- #8 [macuser1], 15-01-17 08:17My 2 year old JA80 is hand wired.
- #9 [georgebush], 15-07-08 22:24I am also a JA 80 user. Very nice monos.
- #10 [macuser1], 15-07-09 10:20Hi Georgebush,
Would like to know if you are using the original tubes ?
Pls PM me to discuss. - #11 [idt2000], 15-07-09 20:47Does anybody know if we can still buy JA15 monoblock?
- #12 [georgebush], 15-07-11 11:30I would say JA80 is good and heavy enough. Unless you have a neighbour who is as strong as Arnold Schwarzenegger, don't get JA100. They are too heavy.
- #13 [watchmanll], 15-07-11 13:34I am also a JA 80 user, very satisfy and no longer trouble
