#[56] Yes, you're right. Elrog tubes are all thoriated tungsten filament and expensive. When I compared the review in the internet, many people said Elorg has it's unique tonal character but deviate too much from the original Western Electric! That's why I brought TAKATSUKI instead.

good that you know what you want to achieve. in fact, TM makes all his tubes with thoriated tungsten filament, including 300B. in general, it would sound a bit more 'shiny' and quite airy. SQ is leaning towards modern hifi sound. but its 300B would not sound like the vintage WE300B.

#[53} Thanks bambino! Before I choose 10Y, I had done a bit of research first and realize not all 10 type got thoriated tungsten filament. I purposely choose thoriated tungsten filament for line stage preamp is that I like to experience its tonal character. DIY master Thomas Mayer has special 300B version also use this filament version (TM300B) and with a very high price tag.

或者我應該開個新post主力於DIY 直熱三極膽既preamp, 由其是thoriated tungsten燈絲三極膽。希望集思廣益砌部靚聲前級。

首先我要謝謝你，Johnny, Cody同Baker既建議，Monolith Magnetics 既牛的確唔錯，斷斤秤都值，mono block一隻都6-70磅，機殼要預留大手挽，上落手術枱容易啲。
至於聲，大家都知聰音樂總有啲主觀成份。但以音效，微動態，堂音，音場深闊都好過現用既馬九。雖然衹有20W，力水亦夠，好有可能因我喇叭有91dB SPL。我開始煲機時巳經以為換咗喇叭，現在明白為何一聽直熱三極管就好難翻轉頭。

攪咗成年，因人老手腳慢，宜家先post成品。
基本線路: 417A--＞MM IXT-01/25--＞300B--＞MM SA-19
417A加可調穩壓，諗住可換其他推動膽玩，屏145.5V, 20mA, 300B屏399V 150mA
計畫加TVC或AVC於DAC,同power amp之間，DAC出最大2.65V。
再下一步砌10Y line amplifier, 用LL1660做output牛接TVC去power amp。
有冇師兄可介紹邊隻AVC/TVC。
另外除LL1660 之外，有無其他更好方案？
