Very much mint looking comb of Varislop II preamp - TL12.1 power amp.

How does its mate look like?

I wish you can operate them soon.

Pair 1 (on wooden plint) :

They, the internal, look good . The thing to consider is to replace the plastic boxed metal film capacitors with paper-in-oil modern ones. There are lots of offers in the market or internet. 0.25uF/500-600VDC each.

Pair 2 :

These look like for professional use because they each has a input transformer (the black round ones). Interesting further is how you would handle these input transformers? Skip them to make them like Pair 1, or keep them (but then how you would use the amps?).

Both pairs work but Pair 2 has not been switched on in 10 years and is currently with my technician for a restoration and recap.

Pair 1 was previously recapped by someone else and mounted on a wooden plinth but is working fine. I will remove the plinth soon.

I need a pair of ECC33 for Pair 2.

Where can i find a pair of ECC33 valves?

I have 2 pairs of monoblocks.

The one set came from the SABC (South African Broadcasting Corporation.

6SN7 可用在12.1 ，在自給偏壓下管子的實際工作參數會自行調整，問題是不大的。

ECC33 當然是最佳的原設計。

6SN7跟原本線路的ECC33比較. 放大倍數,屏阻同柵極電壓都有眀顯分別.

Is the 6SN7 valve good for the Leak 12.1? Is ECC33 compulsory?

這個前級只可配合 LEAK 古董後級來使用，例如 TL12.1， TL10.1，
後級要有 極高靈敏度 (１２５ｍＶ for full output power)
