- #44 [mcm], 06-11-21 12:56Dear brothers,
I got two cassette decks, unfortunately both are out of order because of the belts,is it easily can be found in Apliu street?? - #45 [cdforever], 06-11-21 12:58GXC-570D is a famous high end deck, Akai really is in top-notch position in cassette deck market. It's sorry that it was fade out after 90's.
- #46 [cdforever], 06-11-21 13:01mcm hing, try to buy the belts at Apliu street la... My GX-F80 was restored after changing the belt, suddenly I "re-call" my old cassette tape while recording in 80's and.....You know, "those old memories since I was teens never die"
- #47 [cdforever], 06-11-21 13:10My Teac V-800X is very beautiful but it needs extensive restoration, too old la..... (>_<)

- #52 [rickymartin], 07-04-07 20:59I know a shop which has some brand new TDK for sell (not many, should be around 10 only). Not the metal tapes but the high models of TDK.
Only HK$5 each (60 mins).
Anyone want to know the address of that shop, feel free to PM me. - #53 [aldila], 07-04-07 21:36力奇馬田兄,
唔該話禾G, tks. - #54 [rickymartin], 07-04-07 21:48aldila,
The shop is near Cheung Sha Wan MTR. It is a second-hand shops which selling everything.
The sellers do not know how to price their items.
So the cheap TDK tapes are the same price as the good one (all HK$5 each).
I think the shop will not open until the end of the holiday. Anyway, I will go there to re-check what kind of good TDK types they have and the quantity. I will let you know few days later. OK ? - #55 [rickymartin], 07-04-07 21:53By the way, I am trying to fix my cheap Akai deck. The belt was broken and melt. Not sure that whether the motor is still functioning. Need to re-check again.
However, I really can't any reason to fix it as I rarely listen to cassette tapes any more.
Guys, could you tell me why you still keep your tapes and deck ? - #56 [aldila], 07-04-07 22:07力奇馬田兄,

- #58 [rickymartin], 07-04-07 22:13aldila hing,
Could you PM me and leave your personal email address/mobil phone ? I always can't receive message via PM. - #59 [sv.40], 07-04-07 22:16Hello, my first deck was a Sansui D350M (HK$ 2000-) at 1981. Then I owned some Technics, Sony, Teac, even a Sherwood 3-head....my dream deck was also the Nakamichi Dragon...Finally I owned one, and also the GX-95II from Akai. Now I still have these:
1. Dragon (as a collector's item now)
2. Teac 6030S with Dobly-S
3. Sansui D-350M since 1981...as its sound was really OK at that time till now (quite a top model), and easy to service myself.
4. Tascam 122MKIII professional deck for studio/boardcast.
My prference: Dragon->122MKIII->6030S->D350M in terms of sound quality.
I do playback my old tapes, and sometimes record something (CD and LP) to my car HiFi....I do have a Studer two track master recorder....
But I use only Metal Tapes or at least TDK SA or SA-X or CrO2 type since my first deck. - #60 [aldila], 07-04-07 22:16禾5色典pm 你wor !
