首先個 demo 哥哥非常之好人。
我入房個陣，只得我一個人。吸引我留低因為佢啲 Jazz 音樂好好聽，my cup of tea。跟徃多2個入嚟，一共3個。佢 demo 哥哥問我哋可否留低，聽佢 demo，先至知道佢哋係 demo 拖板，我哋話 OK。跟住佢關房門，對住我哋3個人儍強開始。
好欣賞英國人夠專業。人少少都準時開波，冇欺埸，唔係好多人得…… 後來仲有跟住十幾人入埋嚟聽，但係最令 demo 哥哥開心，係大部分人都聽到有改善嘅地方。
個 demo 哥哥好老實。佢套架生已經加咗 GBP 2.4K 大拖板，又加埋 GBP 7.0K filter block，最後再加上 GBP 0.8K 嘅 USB plug 同 USB filter，已經好難聽到分別，至少加 GBP 0.2K USB plug 個陣時，我覺得冇分別。哥哥話 e 個係 cost of diminishing return 問題，要諗吓幾時先至係足夠……
我當時諗，如果凡事都要吹毛求疵，生活可以係無底深淵…… 係 HiFi 線材同電源方面，投資幾多要有底線，可以深不可測…….
希望佢哋發展順利。係英國啲電咁乾淨，都有改善。用係電源污糟地方，改善可以好大。

英國音響展 ，電梯頂掛大大條 Ｂａｎｎｅｒ ，Chord 個場租大大間房 demo 電源產品，神秘小盒插出插入 Ｓｔｒｅａｍｅｒ UＳＢ，ＡＣ ｍａｉｎｓ ｓｏｃｋｅｔ。
場中一兩個人耳朵似最靈敏，第一時間反應： "背景靜咗"， "music真實咗"。。。是耶？
想起以前的香港音響界，神壇擺放大師，掛三角褲大叔，神石，地盒，鐵沙袋，裝彈功。。確有些功用令人俾錢。香港至今仍有 陳煮鞭，行走江湖 。

鬼佬容易啲傾計。我同－個東歐 sales 吹水，因為我以為佢係瑞士人，佢 demo Swiss 喇叭仔，我同佢講好好聲。佢話佢屋企有一對座地嘅，仲好聲。我話：You are very rich ! 佢比我 e 個香港人咁直接都大吃一驚。
架生真係好貴。PMC demo 一對無源喇叭仔。第一次聽到 PMC 可以完全消失。Sales 話係 bargain @ GBP 1250。
PS：Chord 啲貴到阿媽都唔認得嘅電源產品，好可能主要市場係亞洲。

Agree with Kenny 兄's observation, 唔係好多本地發燒友崇尚發燒線，大多 prefer 洗錢 upgrade 套機，唔似香港 HiFi 友咁熱烈追捧線材；又英國音響友以音樂行先，好多都仲用緊 8,90 年代套裝機去享受音樂，佢哋話呢啲係 vintage sound system, valuable for collection and enjoying their favorite music, 十分珍惜；相反，呢啲相信喺香港都已絕蹟多年，你想喺鴨寮街揾凑番埋一套都唔易！哈～～
And, do really appreciate the friendliness of local people. 大家黎到英倫，不妨都跟 local HiFi 友打吓交道，交流交流，欣賞吓佢哋嘅音樂世界！我黎到呢度，都聽多咗 pop , rock music.... though hard rock and heavy metal still not my type... 哈哈。。。 rock music 可能要 fotheringay 兄多啲指教！！ ；P

笑話：排隊時，有個哥哥同主辦方一位老闆投訴，話Absolute Sounds 個 demo 太多講話，冇時間聽音樂，要求主辦單位注意一吓。到我聽 demo 時，個 Absolute Sounds 老闆同埋廠商，可能都係美國人，真係收唔到口，到最後只有小小時間比 Magico 唱一首歌就散埸，好多人差唔多要求回水，但係都好有禮貌被離埸。我自己好夠運可以下一場後補，有機會聽多啲。

In another thread there was an R33 member commenting that not many people turning up for the show, notwithstanding the rail strike. It was a fiasco!!
I think what he was trying to say was that:" Look! our Hi-End show in HK is the greatest of all shows. Just look at the numbers of people queuing up!" There is nothing to compare to our might, or more to the macro point :UK is nothing!!
I agree that it seems a lot of people going to the HK show but how many are local HK people ? And most of all do they have other choices to spend their day, or their life?
People going for the UK show is purely to experience the Hi-Fi journey. However, that is not the ONLY activity we can spend time on, yourself or with family.
I spend the day walking in the countryside with my wife. My sister-in-law and her daughter went to see WSL Arsenal V. Liverpool in London.
And I think the鬼佬 playing "春江花月夜" might have done some research that there could be a lot of Asians or Chinese, if not just Hongkongers, attending the event. That said, I would consider no difference if a dealer in HK playing Adele!! It's all about marketing.

I have attended the UK Hi Fi Show too on two days (30/9 and 1/10) and have taken a lot photos. Maybe I'll share in a separate thread.
In general, the Show gives me some thing similar as in HK's Hi-End AV Show, and some very different experience. Most of the popular hi-end hi fi audio brands found in HK's show can be found there. NO less than in HK.
Difference: First of all, all the people (organisers and visitors ) are friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Second, sitting in the demonstration and talks, I feel no hard selling at all.
Third, the space, rooms, built environment and the racecourse... all excellent!
One more point to add. In one demo room, "春江花月夜" was played... Immediately I thought the DJ might be a Chinese/HKer? No, he is not. He is a 鬼佬.
