- #82 [ac388], 03-06-06 15:08Hi Kler, can you tell me what antenna you use ?
- #83 [Kler], 03-06-06 15:09Ultramanzero,
The public antenna reception in my home is horrible, noiser & flat, that's why I bought ST-2 (costly, but, it's fine that I didn't change antenna offen, so do the Tuner). I have to place the ST-2 need window for best reception.
There are few models (low-end) from Magnum Dynalab has preset & memory, the Hi-end model doesn't. The latest one (cheapest in MD ever, marketing decision!!!) were actually an OEM from Parasound !!! In Magnum Dynalab radio, I only love the sound of MD108 but not it's operaton.
Most vintage or antique tuners just too old for today's standard, collector or display items for great & good old memories only. Thanks. -

Not sure if you aware of the optional "Analog Remote Control" by MD which is also applied to model 108.
With this optional remote you can have 5 preset channels. The preset method is a bit difference from usual; an infra red controled motor is connected to the tuning knob inside the tuner, so when u press the preset channels on the remote the tuning knob will turn by itself (motor) to a specific position (channel) which of course is presetted by the users. - #87 [ultramanzero], 03-06-06 15:44The photos above is the current cheapest model from MD, the DT-5. Kler, are u refer to this one as the Parasound OEM?
- #88 [tchua], 03-06-06 16:31How about tuner from Naim Audio like NAT01, 03 and the 05... Please comment, thanks !
- #89 [Kler], 03-06-06 16:41Yes, you can check out the Parasound Halo Series. It's O.K. product but not an outstanding.
Actually, OEM is very common in market, like Primare is actually from the NAD S400...... . - #90 [sm], 03-06-06 16:54any shop to align tuners? I've just got a mcintosh that need some restoration
- #91 [ac388], 03-06-06 19:00Hi Kler, how much is your ST-2 antenna n where to get it ? Thanks.
- #93 [BBS], 03-06-06 22:09Agree with Kler.
I have A-B-C comparison with my Magnum Dynalab MD-100, NAD S400 and Sony AV receiver.
Public antenna give simlar result but a good indoor antenna make them sound different. - #94 [why], 03-06-06 22:44
I bought ortofon 7N 75 ohm cable marked High Fidelity Anntenna Cable BS CS at DCH. It has you mentioned feature when I DIY.
I am now using to connect my tunner and TV from socket.
But now, out of stock.
- #97 [sm], 03-06-07 20:57Anyone know why Mcintosh tuners has a "MULTIPATH" light? what does it mean? it just emit blue light?
50 usec
- #99 [sm], 03-06-07 21:01how to set if without a switch?
03-06-07 21:09Some high end tuner such as Yamaha T-2 can be changed some caps (table in manual)in audio circuit to do that.
Many US tuner set to 75 usec to suit their local station but we can do nothing. - 下一頁 (5 of 442)

Most of the MD models already have preset functions with an optional Remote Control and circuit board. I have just bought a MD90 with balance connection and it beats my Quad FM4 hands down. I am very interested with the ST-2 attenna too but don't know if it can really improve the receiption in my place. Have u compare the public attenna and St-2 in your place?
