兼且賣家要付「貨品交回運費」
一般來說,現在賣家寄貨前會比以往謹慎。

但諗深一層, 如果賣家將套機寄出, 我收到套機發覺唔妥, 投訴not as described, 要等eBay裁決, 確認投訴成立, 先可以寄番俾佢...
按當年eBay規矩, return postage要買家出, 仲要等賣家收到套機先有full refund, 一來夜長夢多, 二來可能仲貴過俾eBay fees...
一言難盡...

- #9 [mr-s], 19-10-09 12:04樓主, 一定唔好要,如果死牛,就仆街烏! 我在EBAY買過嘅嘢,大大話話超過一球有多,成交紀錄一個A4紙盒(成呎高那些)都裝唔哂, 以過來人經驗我話你知,一定唔好要, EBAY Fee亦可以唔好俾,如果少錢就俾(當破財擋災), EBAY及淘寶原理多一樣,沒有冇原冇固的平,我交EBAY學費都唔少,後期Dseller 成交宗數唔多,唔過一干幾百,沒有100%或99%以上 feedback 我都唔會幫襯.當睇中貨就要不恥下問,清清楚楚,一有含糊立即退,例如...應該Work,幾個月前仲聽緊,我收返嚟,機主話Work,我介器材試,可以Power Up, 如果話sell as it,就更加唔好制, 成交後一收唔到貨即投訢唔好拖,要經paypal交易,唔好試經其它途徑或型式交款,一定死!

我覺得你都係唔要好喇!佢又話明未check好!分分鐘佢寄件有問題機俾你你都吹佢唔賬!賣方未check清楚件機就放賣踉本就係佢責任!通常賣嘢過程中有太多阻滯都大可能只係賣家藉囗!拖下拖下佢就不了了之!況且已經唔係遲咗幾日了! 及早截停為上策!

This is more so with ebay.
From a seller point of view I think he was guilty of not checking the items thoroughly before listing. I have no idea how experienced this seller with ebaying. I give him the benefit of doubt that he is experienced since you mention that he has good feedbacks. I think he realised that the amps would be going to HK and he worried about the possibility of a complaint of "items not as described" or "the item arrived defective" or "the item is faulty" and he would need to bear too much risk of not just refunding the total purchase but also the cost to cover the return postage. I believe he could be in good intention to let you know that he would check it over and make sure that the amps are in good health before sending.
The concept of time between the People in the UK and in HK could be quite different, from a personal experience point of view. Everything in life in HK seems going in the light-year pace while people in the UK would think it takes as much time as it needs to get it done. In your case it may take the repair shop weeks before they could tell the fault and give the estimate. It was my own experience as well.
You argue that the UK sellers are not trustworthy and you may be right as there is always a black sheep in the family. With the same token among the sellers in the UK they also claim that most buyers from the Far East are very dodgy(with Japanese the exceptional). They could always find so called "faults" in the item. They do not want to return the item but will claim the item is imperfect and they would like to ask for a partial refund. Most of the times, the sellers will agree because they want to get the issue sorted as quickly as possible for the peace of mind.
Again, you may disagree and I don't blame you for that.
Perhaps you will see many sellers would ask the buyers to contact them first before filing a claim because this would lead to their accounts being inactive, especially if you use Paypal.
Everyone wants a smooth and successful transaction, and a bargain. Sometimes things might turn out much more complicated than you initially anticipated.
BTW, I am not the seller in this case.

話說當在eBay睇中英國一對後級, 睇賣家啲feedback又唔錯, 價錢又平宜, 於是決定buy it now搏鎚!
習慣上買咗嘢馬上畀錢, 點知過兩日賣家寫過嚟話出機前小心啲, 搵朋友check清楚對機, 發現其中一隻output可能有問題, 又話想找technician check清楚, 過咗一個禮拜都未有回音, 寫message畀佢又話去咗旅行, 又拖咗兩個禮拜, 我頂唔順, 其實又驚過咗兩個月投訴期, 等夠時間去eBay投訴話未收到貨!
點知投訴咗佢之後個賣家紮紮跳, 話我開咗file投訴, 又話好心著雷劈, 搞到佢退唔到啲eBay fees, 話要記對後級畀我, 因為佢話佢自己都未check清楚, 可能正常.... 你哋話收唔收貨好....!
