I would agree with Anthlai CHing that you should get a reasonably good HIFi Rack. It places an important foundation, and you would need it disregarding which other components you like to upgrade in the future years.
Solid Steel 5 series is a very good starting point and it should be within 3K budget from 2nd hand market.
Speakers Stands are also important, but bear in mind you may need to change it if you change to a different sized book shelves speaker in the future.
Nothing wrong with cheap cheap cables and power cords as their sound is neutral. Yet try to avoid those cheap cheap OFC or PCOCC cables in the market.
Also try to use un-filtered Extender block with NO power switch. Few years ago i was still using the Panasonic 4-way extender (~HK$100) with 7x 22# cables ($2.5 per feet) with satisfactory results. If possible, try to connect AV equipment to other wall sockets. - #23 [cyruschow], 11-10-17 22:54What is OFC / PCOCC cables?
Can u explain more about un-filtered Extender block with NO power switch? -

- #26 [faimiu], 11-10-18 09:07OFC and PCOCC are those Oxygen Free Copper or claimed as 99,999XX% single crystal pure copper cables in Ap Liu Street or AV shops that may be good looking but not really appropriate for 2 channel audio systems.
For Power Extender Block, it should be strictly an extension block with no AV/RF/Noise filters and power switches. If you are using UK 13A power plugs, you may find some good choices from MK, or some German Brands that cost < $500. If you are using US plugs, the Panasonic power extender that i mentioned (from ShumShuiPo) is a cheap and good choice. The criteria is good electric contact .
Other accessaries such as interconnects, speaker cables are fun to work with, but better to keep the spendings below 20% of the total setup and save some $$$ for the main components upgrade in the future. - #27 [stevehifi], 11-10-18 22:52我覺得先花錢處理在電源方面,如再生電源或隔離牛等等!

To me 跟機 power cable is 正常聲. So suggest you improve the foundation (Hifi Rack/Speaker stand)first. After that you can review your system to see what is the weak point and change the speaker to improve it.
FYI, Hifi rack you can try Solid Steel 5.2 which is cheap but natural sound and good enough for your gears too.
