- #43 [jcml], 06-09-15 22:56An another A727 !
Just want to show Studer is produced in small batch quantity. You can see different colours of small capacitors are used around the TDA1541A.
So it's hard to argue which model is better, just like it and enjoy music! -
- #44 [com-buddy], 06-09-16 02:28Hi, I am Revox/Studer nuts and used their CDP, tuner, preamp, int.amp, preamp/tuner, receiver and headphone. Heading for their power amp.

is 38xx , green one is 56XX and the white one is
74xx. - #49 [Tom], 06-09-16 11:22jcml,
But all the caps in different color should be WIMA caps and with the same parameter?
Thanks,
Tom - #50 [jcml], 06-09-16 12:10Tom,
How's are you these days? Your living place looks very nice. Are you still in Canton?
The caps are of the same value (nF) but other parameters not know.It happened also some where, sometime it's ROE, ERO or Philips etc but with the same value. Not like we audiophiles said different brand of caps have different sound color. - #51 [mikelee], 06-09-16 13:10Nice pix, John! Not only the different A727's have caps in different colours but also the DAC's are different (TDA1541 and TDA1541A). I don't know why Studer/Revox used different components for the same model. Are there different versions assigned to the model with different components?
Different components even with the same specs may contribute to different sonic results. However, unless we conduct a blind-fold test to confirm this, the claimed different sounds are more or less psychological effects or from our biases.
If we have plenty of time and money, it's fun to swap different components (modify) just for the sake of sound under the condition that there is another completely original equipment around or the modifications are reversable. If not, I think it's better to accept the "fate" and enjoy music without bothering about the differences.
com-buddy,
Please share your collection by posting the photos of the collected items up here! :) Good luck to your hunt for Studer/Revox amp. - #52 [jcml], 06-09-16 14:47Post subject: Wima Caps - Identification by Case Colour

- #53 [jcml], 06-09-16 14:48As said in the web, may be not accurate.
- #54 [Tom], 06-09-16 15:11jcml,
Thanks for your information. I am working at Wuxi since last year and some of my system are moved here with me. How is your update system?
Bests,
Tom - #55 [mikelee], 06-09-16 16:35This B 226 doesn't look like a "standard" one. Small black buttons are used on the lower front panel like B 226 Signature. A mixed breed CD player?
Regarding remote control, I've found that not all come as optional accessories. For example, the B 226 Signature includes its special Signature remote control as shown in the photo I posted here before. - #56 [mikelee], 06-09-16 16:36B 226 Signature:
- #57 [mikelee], 06-09-16 16:45It's confusing enough when trying to investigate the different B 226's. Together with the different Studer A727's and A730's as pointed out by John (for A730's, please refer to another forum: https://www.review33.com/avforum/forum_message.php?topic=90050619074006) and other Studer/Revox equipment, we have lots of "fun" for sure... :P
- #58 [8-)], 06-09-16 22:06I am a cheap Revox owner, with B260 and B760 only.
Unhappy to know that the signal meter of my B760 is no longer working... any idea costs how much to fix it..? (no hope from AV xxxkman)...
8-( - #59 [com-buddy], 06-09-16 22:178-),
Did you check with Sefu Fai? He fixed Loman69's B760 before. - #60 [sobilly], 06-09-16 22:21我都有幾部
