- #25 [smartone1228], 10-12-21 18:01原來大家都有這樣多的不快經歷!!!
- #24 [S6410], 10-12-21 17:56sales at both with nose facing the ceiling!
Maybe they were born as a chimpanzee!
I remember once I tried to buy a Panasonic Plasma and asked their prices. NOT very willing to answer and came up price significantly than others. I finally bought one from Wah Lun Society with just a call. Convenient and fast! - #23 [antonio], 10-12-21 16:09阿二同英京都係同一個老細 , 受完阿二氣 , 重去英京?

- #20 [S6410], 10-12-21 09:56Harbeth and Tannoy sounds more "right" for human's ears because they have some boost in the mid-vocals, an area human ears are most familiar with and find it most easily acceptable.
To be fair, JMLab does a much better job in presenting the whole frequency range!
Indeed, for over HKD200,000, I would consider a good horn from JBL's 9800 series, or a large B&W (although some may not like their somewhat congested mid-vocals and slightly fat bass!). For mid-range speakers, Triangle from France indeed have some very good models (although I also don't like the outer appearance of some of them). For smaller animals, why not consider Reference 3A, which can be driven to good extent by some 300B valve amps! (sorry I always think the sonic performance of 3/5A suck! They are but cheap stuff designed not for musical reproduction but for monitoring vocals in a truck in the old days!) - #19 [S6410], 10-12-21 09:51Indeed both JMLab and Dynaudio were only good suppliers of tweeters and mid-woofers about 10 years ago. They started to build their franchise finding out it's far more profitable to make speakers than units!
However, their problems persist even today. For JMLab, it is always their loose loose woofers and the poor crossovers to the highs, which has indeed improved significantly over the past decade (although I still find it to be etching if matched to some solid state amps such as EDGE).
For Dyna, it's always their mechanical sounds and the stiff mid-woofers. The performance of its "top-notched" tweeters are actually falling behind in technology compared to Be or Diamond tweeters produced by JMLab and B&W. Another problem is the building of its cabinet, which result in an overall mechanical sound that is claimed to be "correct sounding" by the HK dealers. However, listening for a while my ears just bleed. It's unforgiving sound with little "oil" because of the lack of good harmonics and overtunes. Well at least JMLab sounds more pleasing to the ears, particularly the larger floorstanding models! - #18 [batmanames04], 10-12-21 09:15Last year I visited Taipei's Usher. The sales were warm and allowed me to listen for as long as I like. I also asked them to switch a number of loudspeakers for trial. NOT the slightest complaint!

- #16 [apprentice], 10-12-21 09:06Actually I've been to some dealers with very good attitude and some very bad also. Regarding JM Lab speakers, I listened to it different models many times, but never like it. To me, they sound shrill, sharp, cold, detached from music, no emotions and no warmth at all. Sound rather like lab equipment. I'd say Tannoy and Harbeth sound much better and more involving, especially with classical music. So regardless of the sales' attitude, please find a chance to listen to them first. The most important point is you get what you want - the chance to audition the speakers.

Even though I did not buy stuff there I have very good memory of the shop and always recommended pals to buy if they don't mind a lesser brandname (but soundwise? kick out the much more expensive JMLab Mini Utopia by a few streets!).
These hifi sales have been spoiled for decades and continue to judge someone from his outlook. I always wear jeans going here and there but if I want I can buy a Grande with cash. However I won't as I am no longer had that fever and I can't stand low-class animals showing poker face at me.
I save my $$$ and have dinner with family and friends. I stopped visiting those trash places for many years. If I want to browse around, I will do so in Tokyo or in Taipei. The Neotech cables and Usher are of very high standards. They also produce some excellent valve amps and AB amps which are comparable with the so-called Made In Switzerland stuff!
Save my gas in fxxking these low-B jerks! - #14 [jefftse], 10-12-21 00:38Good choice - I give up JM labs a long time ago. I was disappointed with their performance and price and many mistakes in some of the very expensive models.

- #8 [S6410], 10-12-20 17:19Hifi sales no matter how expensive gears they sell they are still a sales, possibly not even graduated from high school and most have little knowledge in electronics and music history of classical or jazz!
Most believe they are also some big deals after recepting some big guns from the mainland.
The sad truth they are still nobody earning shameful salaries living in shattered housing! - #7 [batmanames04], 10-12-20 16:04how much for grand utopia em in hk?
- #6 [神期小羊], 10-12-20 15:55我很久很久都不去這些地方,貼錢買難受!有心水的就打電話給朋友給我找!香港的音響Sales...寸到離奇!價錢又不是平過人。
