I really enjoy the OST of Confidenza by Tom Yorke.
Perhaps, I have always been liking their music anyway. - #3285 [twinggy], 25-05-12 14:24Listened^_^
The song , especially this original long version , is still so powerful even after all these years !
The sound of the rerecording is rich which has enhanced its impact.
BTW I think your boy should watch the original Top Gun to have a better grip of the flow of the story ^^ - #3284 [fotheringay], 25-05-11 22:51
Our son finally watched "Top Gun: Maverick" last week but he never watched the original Top Gun.
He had no idea how important the original character Ice Man was in the original and so he asked why the fragile and retired fleet commander was in the new movie.
I told my son briefly about the first one and went on to tell about Val Kilmer, the recently deceased actor.
I really like him in Heat, Batman and especially being Jim Morrison in The Doors.
I told my son he should watch "The Doors" and I said I will make a The Doors compilation CD from my vinyl for him.
I guess it's time to do some Psychedelic music lessons.
This is "The End" and famously used in the opening of the famous war film "Apocalypse Now " .
It's the original version so it's quite long.......11 minutes!!!!! - #3283 [Twinggy], 25-05-09 18:09Sadly psychopaths do have their audience in a crazy world.

I could only say love could be so blind and so meaningless ⋯⋯and hurtful。

Pretty sure that it's your type of music (ambient).
Your boy really knows your stuff !

Mr. Chiu must be very pleased. Pity that he didn't appear himself in the video.
Received a birthday present from my son.
I have not watched "Cofidenza(Trust)" nor did I know about this movie. All I know is that the music was provided by Tom Yorke.
Tom Yorke is the member of Radiohead( not sure if it has been disbanded or not so "is") and the currently active new band The Smile( formed with also Radiohead members). - #3276 [twinggy], 25-05-08 16:46

Very sad indeed as I had many fond memories with Grand Ocean.
Apart from the main blockbuster movies from the West it was also the main venue for the so called "cult movie" from the Hong Kong International Films Festival.
The most notable one was The Poseidon Adventure which had meaning in my life.
When I was in secondary school I had a good classmate who was like my best buddy. Suddenly he was not attending school any more and I thought he must be ill.
Then one day when leaving school I saw him by the school gate. He was waiting for us and I was happy to see him.
It turned out that his family had decided to move to USA and he would be flying in two weeks. We had a long chat and a small group of us decided we should eat in Pizza Hut and checking out who could make the tallest salad bowl.
We also went to see The Poseidon Adventure which was shown in the Grand Ocean Cinema at the time.
