Live， International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 1960
Maurizio Pollini has been performing and recording the piano works of Chopin for more than half a century. He was the winner of the 1960 International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 1960 and has recorded multiple albums of the Polish composer's work ever since.

On her new album, pianist Alice Sara Ott presents world premiere recordings of piano transcriptions of late Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson's most famous works. It includes some of Jóhannsson's iconic works from different films as well as from his studio albums, including Orphée and Englabörn. Ott's interpretations capture the essence of the composer's hauntingly beautiful music.
Though Ott never met Jóhannsson, she had always loved his music. In preparing for this unique project, she spoke to several of his friends and colleagues to gain greater insight into his work and processes: “As I worked on these pieces – internalising the musical architecture, shapes and language of Jóhann's music – it actually felt like a very personal dialogue with him.”
“What's so incredible about Jóhannsson's music,” concludes Ott, “is how his compositions, originally written for larger ensembles and different instruments, translate so beautifully to the piano. Within this more focused and intimate sound world, the writing reveals hidden nuances and enhances the purity and clarity that are so intrinsic to his music.”
The album is released digitally, on CD and on vinyl. As part of the overarching project, Ott has also released two digital EPs: The first EP focuses on Jóhannsson's film music, and the second EP features piano transcriptions of the composer's first solo studio album Englabörn.

"Soul Sacrifice" is an instrumental composed and recorded by the American rock group Santana. Identified as one of the highlights of the 1969 Woodstock festival. "Soul Sacrifice" features extended guitar passages by Carlos Santana and a percussion section with a solo by drummer Michael Shrieve and an organ solo by Gregg Rolie.

Renée Chemet (9 January 1887 – 2 January 1977) was a French violinist. Renée Henriette Joséphine Chemet was born in Boulogne-sur-Seine. She studied with Henri Berthelier at the Conservatoire de Paris, graduating in 1902. Chemet toured the world as a violinist for decades, playing a violin made by Giovanni Battista Guadagnini.

Well-loved favourites such as Sarasate's Carmen Fantasy swirl in sultry fashion, false harmonics delivered with playful ease, coloured by artful and idiomatic arrangements by a variety of hands that sizzle with passion and energy.

Schubert was a competent violinist and violist and his four violin sonatas pose no problems for skilled players. It is strange, then, that so few really recommendable recordings of them have been made. Apart from these beautiful interpretations by Martzy and Antonietti, which have become legendary, one can find individual works by Fritz Kreisler and Sergei Rachmaninov, or Josef Suk and Jan Panenka, but few others that catch the essential simplicity of the pieces. The Rondo brillant and the Fantasy on Schubert's song Sei mir gegrüsst, on the other hand, are among the most difficult works in the violin-and piano repertoire, written for the shortlived Bohemian virtuoso Josef Slavík. Adolf Busch and Rudolf Serkin were famous for playing them but such big names as Jascha Heifetz and David Oistrakh have fallen flat on their faces, trying to unravel the secrets of the Fantasy. Martzy and Antonietti bring beautiful, meticulously prepared playing to all half dozen pieces. Their interpretations, which are well balanced and clearly recorded for the time, have an inherent strength but also pliancy, transparency and unsentimental sweetness where required.

Tiffany Poon (Chinese: 潘活活; born 29 December 1996) is a Hong Kong-born American classical pianist and vlogger, residing in New York City.
Poon began taking piano lessons at the age of four. At nine, she moved to New York to study at the Juilliard School Pre-College Division for eight years with a full scholarship, under the guidance of Yoheved Kaplinsky. She studied at Calhoun School for high school, where she graduated in 2014. She continued her studies at the Columbia University / Juilliard School exchange program with Emanuel Ax and Joseph Kalichstein. In May 2018, she graduated from Columbia University as a John Jay Scholar with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy.
