- #22 [Gingers], 04-01-11 13:01The photo shows the latest restoration. I am thinking to replace all C4 and C6 with Jensen PIO capacitors later although the capacitors are a bit gigger in size. Audio note would be another choice.
John - #23 [Gingers], 04-01-11 13:03Before the restoration. Note the C6 were replaced with 0.33 uF capacitors.

- #24 [Gingers], 04-01-11 13:11Two brothers. Stereo 50 (Left) and Stero 20 (Right). Will need Tim Stereo 60 to make the photo more complete.

- #26 [Gingers], 04-01-11 13:51Interesting to see what had happen?
- #27 [Tim], 04-01-11 15:49I think TL12+ always sound better than ST20 anyway.
The pair of TL12+ is most odd. I do not understand why the OPT were swapped.

聽講TL/12+ 同8B線路8成相同 REALLY? - #29 [novice], 04-01-12 00:22I have learnt that there were two versions of leak Lt12+.
the early version runs on higher HT.
is there any difference in performance?
which version is preferred? - #30 [Gingers], 04-01-12 00:47聽講TL/12+ 同8B線路8成相同 REALLY?

This photo shows the old version. See there is no fuse box. I have never listened to an old version before.
John - #32 [Gingers], 04-01-12 01:01This is a new version.
- #33 [lo5boy], 04-01-13 17:33the earlier version tl12+ has its fuse hinds inside the jumper of ac selector while the later version has its fuse in fuse holder as other modern gear.
I have a pair of earlier version and a single late version. it is difficult to compare their performance.
the power transformer of both are different. I just wonder whether I should hunt for another late version 12+ to pair up with the odd one or just let go. - #34 [Gingers], 04-01-13 21:39Eric
Bring your pair of older version to my place this weekend?
John - #35 [Gingers], 04-01-13 21:44Tim
Are your pair of TL/12 Plus older and new version?
John - #36 [Tim], 04-01-13 22:07I believe mine is the later version with the fuse inside.
Tim - #37 [Gingers], 04-01-13 22:13Eric
If I were you, I will go for a single new one and make decision which pair should allow to go : )
This single new version 12Plus in MINT condition only ended at 185 GBP. You should take it. :)
John - #38 [lo5boy], 04-01-13 23:32john,
thanks for your invitation. I shall consider it seriously. I have to check whether I got transport. I shall soon let you know. - #39 [Gingers], 04-01-17 20:41Eric
Thanks for coming. You and Ronald please visit more and blow water here.
The photo shows internal parts of my 12 Plus (with Angela, OEM Jensen capacitors) Eric's elder version 12 Plus.
John - #40 [lo5boy], 04-01-18 00:32thanks john and others. it is my pleasure to see john's great collection of ls3/5a and leak gears.
I have to apologize for my tight schedule. the leak tl 12.1 is a great tube amp that outshot all the antique tube amp we tried today.
the difference between the new and old versions tl12+ is not significant. the difference we experience today may be due to different components, such as caps, and others. it is interesting to find out that the size of the output transformer is slightly different. the new version is 1.5mm less than the old one!
I have to say once again. I enjoy the party and thanks to you all. - 下一頁 (2 of 1346)

I don't have any Leak pre amplifiers. Today I replaced two more capacitors C8 for my Stereo.
Leak more beautiful music. However I still think my TL/12 Plus is better.
Perhaps the Jensen PIO capacitors in my 12Plus do a better job!!
