Hi dlld,
I also had used EAR 834P and I really enjoyed it. Then like it has been I changed to from the cheapest of Cambridge Audio to the expensive WHEST (to me ).
However, I always go back to Trichord DINO. I can't explain but I love the tune, with either MC or MM carts.
Dino is more punchy and kind of "in-da-face" and is good for most of my music. M1 is quite musical but a tad slower but I say it could be very transparent later.
The DINO is the Mark 1 model and I haven't anything inside so it could be getting tired now. The M1 is just starting from yesterday so not even run in with the tubes and the caps. I was told the Duelund may need more than 50 hours to run in.
That said I think the M1 may edge out the Dino soon.
The backing vocals from 2:00 in this song is so much sweeter and transparent from the AN M1 than the DINO, very subtle but you know it’s there.

Hi ，Ortofon 2M Black 配膽phono 和石phono 比較，那種聲音表現啱你？

有同一品牌原廠 Ear phono膽石名一。Ear 834p & Ear324p 。2M black 配用SME V
我個人喜好，都是長期偏向用Ear 834p。聽音樂folk旋律，特別寧捨touching 。
Ear 834p 內部Eap 已換上新。Film capacitor 是 low cost Jantzen polypropylene
而另一個MM Nagaoka MP-500 匹配用SME M2-9 Ear 324p 石 phono ，可能是日本頭特徵，
匹配Ear 324p ，出來效果是清細緻，聲音緊密，比較是偏向中性。而MC針我甚少用它。

I couldn’t wait to try the Audio Note M1 RIAA MM Phono Preamp!!! I compare the Trichord Dino Mark 1 especially my friend told it should be a good match with the Ortofon 2M Black.
Here comes the first test with the Trichord Dino Mark 1:

Upon opening I found this big black unit.
I messaged him and asked had he sent the item to the wrong person?
Well, he said it was for me. He just made this Audio Note M1 RIAA MM Phono Preamp. He knows I play my records mainly with the Ortofon 2M Black these days and he thinks the M1 would fit well with the 2M Black. .
He wants me to test it out!!! He recommends me to use the Philips ECG JAN 6922 and I could try 12AX7 because he knows I own a few as well.
There is a nice touch that there is a label on top of the transformer " For C.L." and that's me!!

Sam Hui 以前D歌曲旋律生鬼動聽，填詞鬼馬，雅俗共償，容易上口，夠貼地。經過幾十年，今時聽，依然覺得好好聽。

So sad to hear the news that Black passed away due to a car accident.
Wonderful Life is one of my favourite songs of all time. I used it a lot for my videos, especially those sentimental ones.
During the COVID Pandemic human life had been greatly affected. Those working in the front line healthcare services were putting every once of their effort to tackle the pandemic, some even with their life.
Being one of them I saw the daily struggle from my colleagues but they never gave up. I made a few videos with interviews with them, videoing their emotions during works and occasionally witnessing their own breakdown.
Nonetheless, they all said that life is wonderful and that's why they wanted to promote and maintain as much as they could.
"Wonderful Life" was always used as background music.
