- #19 [hifi33], 03-01-18 14:34Where and how to buy toac pst 4? In Mongkok, they are charging $ 350/ 4 disc. It is much more expensive than in Japan
- #18 [kcm], 01-05-01 14:46You may find more information about TAOC at http://taoc.gr.jp/
I saw lots of Stereo Sound reviewers are using TAOC shelf, stand and spike plate. The spike plate I tried is certainly cost-effective at only $170 per 4. I think their shelf & sp stand is also good too but is way too heavy to bring them back.
I have tried quite a lot of spike plate before, namely Nordost Pulsar Point, Linn Skeet, Target Floor Protector, various coins, an unknown brand brass cone disc. Before TAOC, I found the unknown brand brass disc sounds the best among all I tried, the TAOC sounds at least as good as the brass disc but looks more elegant.
Comparing to other disc, I found TAOC improves the clarity and soundstage but without alter the sound balance, which I think is the most important thing. - #17 [bb], 01-05-01 08:51Hi KC,
How to buy TAOC? How much is it, includes the delivery charge? I want to try since my LB1 is just placing on the top of a low cabinet.
Thanks. - #16 [KC (佚名)], 01-05-01 00:03Hi kcm,
It is really good news for me about TAOC spike discs. In the very beginning, I also want to try Harmonix RF-900 but I give up at the end. The price really scared me though I own Harmonix TU-210ZX. At this moment, I still haven't tried any spike disc. But your news have raised my interest again. I heard TAOC of their vibration-damping products but I've no idea about it. Would you mind telling me more about TAOC? What aspect does it improvement? And is it cost effective? Your comment is appreciated. Thank you.
Happy listening!
Regards, KC (佚名) - #15 [bb], 01-04-30 20:54say turely , if I give this price , i will go for SYMPOSIUM Svelte shelf, I think it performance is also good
- #14 [kcm], 01-04-30 18:04Actually, TAOC is a specialized brand in vibration control and is highly respected in Japan, some Accuphase leaflet claims their equipment feet are source from TAOC.
Look like this one: - #13 [kcm], 01-04-30 17:52I was interested in Harmonix RF900 too, but gave up because of the high price and given the popularity of TAOC PTS-4 in Japan.
It seems Harmonix RF900 is not so popular in Japan, maybe because of its high price.
Actually, other than TAOC & Harmonix, a brand called 熱研 also manufactures high quality spike plate, but the price is crazy expensive at more than HK$2000 per 4! - #12 [bb], 01-04-30 16:29before I buy linn skeet , i want to buy harmonix RF 900 , but it cost $1000 for 4 , if a pair of speaker , it cost $2000 , it gone crazy , but u only pay $340 can get good sound, maybe their performance is the same , so i think many Hi-end accessories is really 搶錢
- #11 [kcm], 01-04-30 11:11I found the design of Linn Skeet is not so stable for my wood floor, but it may not be the case for your room.
Anyway, if TAOC PTS-4 is not expensive, why don't get some to see and compare. Unforturnately they are not available in HK. - #10 [bb], 01-04-30 10:34really ??? kcm ??
oh!! waste $800 ................... - #9 [kcm], 01-04-29 16:54Just bought some spike disc by TOAC from Japan, they are frequently been used by Stereo Sound. They are not expensive at only Y$2600 per 4, around HK$170.
Just tried and IMHO, they sound better than Linn Skeet that I've been used before.
Really worth to try! - #8 [Wallace], 01-04-28 09:33In this case you need to give up the original spikes of your speaker and replaced with 3 new spikes. Just placed underneath the speaker cabinet but not need to screwed up into the cabinet like you original ones.
- #7 [bb], 01-04-28 02:06if u have 釘 under your speaker ,and if your speaker is a stand floor one , try linn skeet 釘墊 under your 釘, here is the one upgrade your speaker ,不知因何道理,發覺 high to low range 會去得盡好多...........神奇

- #5 [cal], 01-04-27 22:41I'm using Q35.2, it originally has 4 holes for the insertion of 4 腳釘, how can I use 3 instead of 4? Tks!
3 [SmallDog], 01-04-27 09:28My experience, the disk under the tip is much important than the tips under speaker.
First I bought a set of Sound Mechanic tips & disk(C100 & C101, the most expensive one), I replace the disk first & the change suprise me! Then I change the tip with orignal tip, only purer & little change.
Also I do a test in Edmond audio for the symposiun platform for standard speaker, the change very similar to use Sound Mechanic disk. - 下一頁 (2 of 3)
