- #393 [steveha], 13-05-10 18:21Back to the hobby project. I2S slave mode can be programmed into Raspberry PI, which means both Raspberry and Dac can listen to a external clock.
Transmitter is raspberry, Controller is external clock and Receiver is Dac.

Thanks for your finding, now i am understanding what happen now!
And can you send one DSD128 file to me for testing? -
- #391 [steveha], 13-05-10 15:29Your DSD128, DSD64 are encoded using Codec DST64 and DSD64 respectively. All my DSD64 and DSD128 are just using Codec DSD. Probably DST64 is not supported by mpd. Even Audiogate can read your DSD128.
I have no idea what is DST64. You need to find way to convert them into codec supported by mpd.

Please check PM, and DL my files to try. - #389 [steveha], 13-05-10 13:25That's why I call it strange to me. My DSD128 from Opus 3 are dsf. After Audiogate's export (only header change) to dff, I can see them all on GMPC.
For Trinity - HOK-E, export is not required as they are dffs.
BTW, what kind of DSD128 you guys are using ?

GMPC shows DSD64 but not DSD128 - #387 [steveha], 13-05-10 12:32It's strange. I didn't encounter this kind of problem as far as the file's format is diff.
Now, you have to perform the following :-
1) Are your DSD128 being put on proper directory (that can be accessed by mpd) ?
2) Use PC's GMPC to update the database
3) Check whether your DSD128 appears on GMPC's database (I am affrad that your MPAD has performed some sort of filtering);
4) Use Audiogate's export to see any improvement.

The DSD128 showing .dff
but my DSD64 also .dff - #385 [steveha], 13-05-09 23:31edisonwong
Are you sure that your dsd128 are diff ?
Please run 'cmd' and use 'dir' to your dsd128 files. What is the file's extension ?

Just followed your steps to copy new MPD to old image. It is work!!!
Now I am using 20121122 image + 18y MPD, all "po, po" sound is gone!
Only problem is still cannot show DSD128 files... - #383 [steveha], 13-05-09 14:49I am testing the 32bits mode of ESS9018. So far so good with minor defeat that the I2S signals have been upsampled.

- #381 [steveha], 13-05-09 11:51When using 20121122 image, you need to use 'select-mpd' to switch to different mpds.
- #380 [edisonwong133], 13-05-09 11:02Thanks beeos ching!
let me try tonight! - #379 [beeos], 13-05-09 10:25edison,
the files are all in root home folder, inside "mpdcubox"
you may copy the whole folder to NAS, then change sd card, and type copy command to copy from NAS to the Nov image.
(assume your NAS is mounted in /var/lib/mpd/music)
boot up the 20130303 image
cp -Rfv ~/mpdcubox /var/lib/mpd/music
then after switching to 20121122 image:
cp -Rfv /var/lib/mpd/music/mpdcubox ~/mpdcubox
then still use "selmpd" to change version. - #378 [edisonwong133], 13-05-09 10:04Can you show some steps to pull 18y into 20121222 ar?
- #377 [beeos], 13-05-09 09:15steve 兄,
我都發現20130303 比 20121222 無咁 stable, 可能我學你咁整個 20121108 + 0303mpd 睇下會唔會再好D. - #376 [edisonwong133], 13-05-09 07:54My DSD files in DSD 64 and 128 are all dff files.
But cannot show in dsd128 in Mpad.....
And I found 18y have "po, po" sound when select song in DSD. PCM is no problem.
173s is no problem at all. - #375 [steveha], 13-05-09 00:56I am using the 1st version - 20121108 image with mpdbox extraced from 0303 image. The above combination is the most stable in my option.
Anyway, you can still use 0303 image with 18y to play DSD128. The reason why DSD128 not showing up is your DSD128 (probably downloaded from Opus) are dsf.
You need to convert the format to diff by using export function of freeware Audiogate.
