I heard from the owner that the Shindo is very particular with pre-amp matching while the V502 is far more forgiving.

You need to know what is good and what is bad in the Klangfilm amp.

The transformer is excellent but the resistor is bad. The capacitor is average. MP cap is good in some model.

Germany sound is cold and clear but it is due to the resistor and choke.

Many model in 6SELA without choke. A choke may improve the sound a lot.

If you rebuild a Klangfilm Amp. change all resistors to RMG or other carbon type the sound improve a lot. Capacitors change to Westcap or other oil type. If your amp is very new don't touch it keep it original.

If you don't belief just change the feedback resistor to RMG you may know how bad is the red resistor.

Not all the Germany amplifiers sound cold and clear. If you have try some Germany amplifiers produced before WWII, you would find most of them are sound warm and rich to ears...!

I never heard any Klangfilm tube amp sounded "cold and clear" to my paper ears.

My impression of Klangfilm is the exact opposite.

Just change one RMG for each channel, you can hear the different.

I have klangfilm but I don't have ZEISS IKON. From the magazine, ZEISS IKON is better than Klangfilm.

It looks very good. Big power supply, big output, MP cap but where is the choke?

Is that Zeiss Ikon EL34 amp called "Type 32"? Does it have 100V output only?
