After years of using the ZOOM H5 I have now changed to the H4 Essential which has a 32 Bits Float.

When I used the H5 I mainly used the SSH-6 Shotgun because it was a "Decca Tree" config 3-point Mic. It allowed me to configure the coverage of the side-mics. It also allowed me to add extra 2 mics so basically it allowed 5-mic recording.

Now I am going back to just a single recorder with the x-y mic. It seems I have lost all the flexibility but what I gain is a simple setup and a 32 Bits Float which gives me more headroom. With the raw recording I am able to edit the music with Audacity.

I used to make cartridge cables many years ago.

When we do Spinal Deformity Correction, especially Scoliosis, we would have the neuroscientists to monitor the central nervous system(CNS) throughout the operation.

They have all these wires pinned on the patient and making sure the CNS is not being comprised(damaged). These wires are made of gold-plated copper wires (sometimes even platinum coated) and very conductive indeed.

Last week the Anaesthetic Practitioners were checking some stock and found these probes were expired. They were throwing them away and I thought can they be used like what I did before?

These probes are finger strapped to patients to monitor their red blood cells oxygen saturation in their bloodstream. This is vital to make sure they receive adequate oxygen artificially since they are not breathing themselves.

I still have some tags left from previous attempts so this morning I have a go again. The goos thing is even the wires are also having the more or less colours.

The distance between the MC cartridge and the woofer should be around 45 cm.

中古JBL 喇叭箱內原裝分音器電容及接綫簡直是浪費了JBL單元。自己有多咗一個原裝分音器，先摩改電容，及內部原裝線，高音個部份，改用Sommer So-F50 2芯信號綫，分音器外置，目標是減少cabinet共震影響

AB比較之下，自己改用其它audio film capacitor 及cable，有正面良好效果，比原本分音器有更好明顯效果。
