NO problem. My Adam is the semi-active version which means the treble unit is driven by my 330 while the bass unit is driven by the built-in amplifier inside the speaker. All you have to do is to connect the speaker to the 330 with normal speaker cable with an additional powercord to the speaker from the power supply. I think the internal amplifier simpily pick up singal from the speaker cable and further amplify it for the bass unit.
For other speaker choice, I'm sorry that I haven't tried much with 330 just WB ARC, Goldmund Minilogo, Vivid V1.5 and my current Adam. I think Adam is the most versatile in performace among them although others might win in different aspects. If you want to have further discussion, I can PM you my contact number. - #513 [simcity], 10-04-14 12:00Being invited to audition a few power amps recently. They are FM 1811 stereo (1 million HKD), Goldmund Telos 1000 monoblocks biamp (800k HKD) and conrad johnson LP275 tube monoblocks (200k HKD). They all look very different, right? But truely they represent the holy grail of cutting edge amplifier designs of the modern world, each holding the pinnacle of its own camp.
So, a beginner will probably ask, which is the best? In reality, they have very unique sound presentation and I recon each has its own merits and down side. And in some aspect, even the humble cj tube gear can teach a lesson or two to the mighty FM and Goldmund giants!! But in the end, you really need to own them all since they are all SUPERB & IRRESISTIBLE!!!

- #512 [drunker_s], 10-04-14 11:00bezz Ching, I am using 805s, any alternative from Adam with similiar preformacne (of course with better bass la) and size fit me? but my goldmund 330 is intergrate AMP, how can it act as the pre-amp to drive this active speaker? sorry for too much questions. cheers ..
- #511 [bezz], 10-04-13 20:07Please see my set up photo under the thread "Adam's Family". Adam is famous for its active speakers and monitor serious. My the latest Tensor series is really nice. Although it sounds accurate by I found it quite easy listening with Goldmund. But actual size of Epsilon is quite large when compare with other bookshelves.
- #510 [drunker_s], 10-04-13 17:31bezz Ching, it seems a good way to have both wor. Can you provide more information for me about the Adam speaker? I like the bookself speaker instead because of the limited space and the tigers at home(my wife and daughter, smile). how much is for the semi-active speaker?
thanks Ching,...
- #506 [bezz], 10-04-12 15:29Drunker_S hing,
I'm using 330 and 18CD which used to drive Vivid V1.5. I had similar problem as you before. I like the mid and high of Goldmund very much but the bass is a bit too "斯文". I also had considered upgrading 330 to 390 but finally I change my speaker to Adam semi-active speaker. The advantage of this speaker is you can keep the integrated amp to drive the treble unit while leaving the most difficult job of bass unit to the internal built-in amp of the speaker. I'm very satisfied with the results now. Having more tight and punchy bass while the high and mid are still attractive.
Just to share my experience. Happy listening. - #505 [simcity], 10-04-12 15:20Agree with brother Stephen. Personally, I am very fond of Goldmund's presentation in the bass for transistor power amp, especially the newer Telos series :)
- #503 [simcity], 10-04-12 12:47According to stephensiu's information, probably brother drunker you should give it a try with the 390 :)
- #502 [stephensiu], 10-04-10 10:08i have used both 330 and 390 before. the bass of 390 is much much better than the 330.
- #501 [drunker_s], 10-04-09 12:42simcity ching,
Thanks for your advise. I only consider the intergrated AMP because of limited space. I like Goldmund sound very much, I have heard about few brand (MBL 7006, Gryphon 2200, Accuphase E450) finally I select 330. It is really good for vocal and single instrument. If the different is not too big, then I don't need to swap to 390 lu.
Ching, are my setup match for vocal and single instrument? should any change? Thanks - #500 [simcity], 10-04-09 12:25Another close up shot.......
最後修改時間: 2010-04-09 12:25:43 - #499 [simcity], 10-04-09 12:24Hi brother drunker, the price has almost told you everything :) Even 390 won't give you a punchy bass (but slightly better than 330), otherwise the existence of telos 250, 400, 600, 1000, 2500 and 5000 would be meaningless :)
My friend's new Goldmund toys......
最後修改時間: 2010-04-09 12:26:05 - #498 [drunker_s], 10-04-09 11:45to all the high hand,
I am the beginner of the HIFi system. I am now using the B&W805S + goldmund 330 + Marantz SA15 S2. with very satisfied musical and airy high and mid range with this system. I like Saxophone and female vocal. Sometimes need a bit of punchy bass. It is too bad 330 can't produce punchy bass. If I like the goldmund sound and want more bass, should I swap to 390? Any difference between 330 and 390? only 30Watt power more !!??
Thanks ... Tom - #497 [frank], 10-03-24 19:46All bros, where selling the Goldmund hong goods except the digital pavilion? thanks Frank
