- #44 [CADiver], 13-10-14 12:37Thank you ! Invite you all to post pix too from your diving or snorkeling, it's a lot of fun ...
Here is another old pix using Olympus 5050. These cup coral are tiny with vibrant color.
Point & Shoot cameras often do better than dSLR for casual divers if they want to get more quality pictures during their vacations. dSLR will produce higher quality pix when they head to head against the best P&S pro :-) Canon G1? is still one of the best P&S for underwater. I recently saw some Sony RX100 underwater pix, definitely high level pro quality, I seriously want one for myself too, just clip to my BC and pull it out for quick snap whenever it's call for .... - #45 [CADiver], 13-10-14 15:09Lovely 星班 from Z5050 capture .... ! Back in those days, I had no clue how to capture subject & keep a dark background at best ...
For those who are expert and look at the eye right the way ... Yes, I carry 2 flash .... These days, some of the crazy folks carry many many more flash and set up remote flash trigger just like on land !!! But those are real PRO ! I will find some of their pic to share soon ...

I believe Cebu is one of the popular spot to dive and see the Thresher sharks in Asia, unfortunate ... - #47 [CADiver], 13-10-16 10:07News from the Philippines made me think about warm water all day today ....
One of my favorite location, Tulameben Bali. This is from TTT. - #48 [gogogojump], 13-10-17 13:15
Tulameben of Bali is a good place but it is hard for shore dive. - #49 [CADiver], 13-10-17 14:26I tend to agree when I first dove Tulamben, it's hard to deal w/ the pebbles in & out. But you already have these awesome ladies carry your equipments ...., after all this is a sports, a few steps in & out & work on the balance should be a good thing :-) But than, I also took the little power canoe shuttle over to Saraya, I just think Tualmben is fantastic low cost awesome centrally located spot to jump in for warm water dive with spectacular diversity. This is the place I saw >10 different spices nudibranch in a single dive !! It's awesome really ! If I live in HKG, I would go at least 4 times a year !! :-))
- #50 [CADiver], 13-10-17 14:37Kelp forest, something well known in the North America West coast. I dove this all the time and have yet to find the right balance to capture spectacular image, it is so much harder than it should be. Oh well, keep diving, keep shooting. They don't really tangle and kill people like in the movies, you just have to understand not to pull but instead break them by snapping it or pull out your BC knife when necessary. Most of the time when I found out I cannot move further, I stop, look at where I am tangle and just remove it. PADI problem solving skill - Stop, think, act. Stop is the most important first step. Simple.

Sure !
Stop, think and act is the most effective method to solve problem. - #52 [CADiver], 13-10-20 12:35My favorite 'fish pose', I didn't have time to adjust camera for this shot, so I couldn't get a dark background but I love the fish pose. Do you ?
-@Key Largo Florida. - #53 [CADiver], 13-10-21 14:44They are communication somehow ....
This is Anacapa island, CA. - #54 [CADiver], 13-10-23 14:47& there they are in a close up, Garibaldi, it's Southern California special species, they won't even swim up north, so I had never seen them in Monterey, CA. I heard they were being referred as 加州寶石 too ....
