- #38 [myers1], 11-09-13 17:16Frankly speaking the girl is not too bad, off topic ^1^ BTW, did your Living Voice use external X over, I saw some LV use this.
- #37 [agentsmittie], 11-09-13 17:09Yes that gal sure cheapened the speakers.
Those speakers look a lot like the Odeon speakers which sounded quite lively the last I heard it.
But all and all I prefer more "traditional" designs like my Living Voice, these speakers are just so musical. - #36 [myers1], 11-09-13 16:41U R welcomed! This Italian speaker Zingali is also exciting. I guess it has once appeared in HK cos a LP shop in MK is still using their speaker. The company is famous in their Omniray horn. They launched the new Zero series. Don't let the Chinese model distort the impression of their speaker! The factory visit report of Zingali:
http://www.aceaudio.com.tw/Review/2007Zingali.pdf - #35 [agentsmittie], 11-09-13 15:57Myers thanks for the info. I have seen Art Emotion various times mentioned positively in the naim forum. But never knew that it was made by the Dunlop brothers. Dunlop Systemdek holds a special place in my heart as the Systemdek IIX and the Naim Nait 2 was what brought me into this addiction in the first place. That was a long time ago!
And incidentally the HK ex-distributior also distributes Living Voice and Kondo. Small world. - #34 [myers1], 11-09-13 15:25This company used to carry ART and have imported the Emotion before, see the following:
http://www.audioevidence.com/cgi-bin/news/newsscript.pl?record=24
If they don't carry it any longer, write directly to the producer to see is there any special offer if you buy from them. The GBP is a bit weak currently with around GBP1 = HK$12.34, together with a 17.5% discount for export to HK. I'm quite confident that it will sound great driven by the Verdier's 845.
I'm also interested to see how the T & F Pharoah sounds cos last time the showroom is busy to prepare for the White Swan Hotel Show in Guangzhou. - #33 [tripod28], 11-09-13 12:35Myers1 hing, do you know if the ART Emotion is available in HK. I want to have a listen.
Also, fully agree with Apprentice hing that Trenner & Friedl's RA Box is an exceptionally natural sounding speaker. I think it got a little brother and it has a smaller cabinet that shoudl fit HK's typical homes. I'll go to find out if it sounds as good as the RA Box hopefully next week.

This one Musical Affairs from Netherlands could also work well with SET, the UK dealer of J C Verdier also use this speaker. The designer Hans with his Musical Affairs Grand Crescendo.
An interesting video of this company and some production clipps. - #31 [myers1], 11-09-11 15:05ART Emotion Monitor from the UK developed by the Dunlop brothers, the brainchild behind the famous Systemdek turntable in the 80s. The speaker is intend to work with low powered tube amps. They have 3 versions Standard, Signature & Silver Signature. The Silver Signature featuring better parts such as useing Kondo silver cable for internal wiring.

- #29 [myers1], 11-09-11 00:06My friend used a J C Verdier 2A3 power amp to drive Tannoy's Sandringham with good results, the Sandringham is 90 db at 8 ohm.

最後修改時間: 2011-09-10 21:15:56 - #26 [Twins-Audio], 11-09-10 11:40Bastanis MANDALA Atlas baffle kit uses the Bastanis GEMINI dipole tweeters with 2 Bastanis 12" wideband drivers. This 12" wideband driver provides an efficiency of 100dB/1W/1m and is treated by hand in several steps to make it work as a bending wave driver to higher frequencies to enable it to cover the full frequency spectrum which transports musical content. The Atlas open baffles match Bastanis MANDALA 18" woofers which are active powered. This is the best method to get the amount of volume in the bass frequency range matching your room and personal taste.
