- #24 [myers1 ], 09-07-04 12:18Yes, it is true perhaps. Actually in Forthwise once they have the Bosendorfer the width is more or less the same but the distance of the back wall is deeper. The back window of my listening area is deeper than this setting.
- #23 [fomhk], 09-07-04 11:41myers1 hing,
Just for discussion, no hard feeling :
I believe this width is too wide a placement. Only if the depth is real deep enough. - #22 [myers1 ], 09-07-04 11:01This kind of distance between the speakers should also be ideal. A picture of a JMR user in Taiwan.

- #21 [myers1 ], 09-07-04 10:45Sounds wide and spacious and more top end refinement. However it requires spacious area for best results. Not very easy to find such spacious positioning from this picture. My 6 ft distance between the speaker is good but definetly not the best way of positioning. Actually the size of VC 2 wouls suit my place.

any ching has tried VC7 and what is the experience, compared with VC2? the performance improvement worth extra $$?
thansk.... - #19 [老玩童], 09-06-30 12:51Thanks!!
- #18 [Myers1], 09-06-30 12:13Forthwise told me it cost $70,000 if I was correct.
- #17 [老玩童], 09-06-30 12:12Myers1 c-hing,
May I know how much for VC1?? - #16 [Myers1], 09-06-30 11:03Yes, VC2 is good, recently asked Forthwise who gave me a quote of $90,000 for VC 2 piano black if I remember correctly cos I also asked for price of VC 1.
Recently changed to Yter speaker cable which matches with the Bosendorfer. Even playing pop music like Utada Hikari it sounds punchy and have the rhythm. Top end has become more shiny such as violin. - #15 [yourcousin], 09-06-29 23:25
c hings,
other than piano, Bosendorfer speakers are good for orchestra, opera and jazz (vocal and instruments??)
i am considering a pair of VC-2.
Thanks for advice...rgds, - #14 [Myers], 09-01-24 17:38Recently asked Forthwise about whether they will continue to carry Bosendorfer or the new Brodmann. They don't have an exact answer and their showroom have only 1 demo unit of VC1. I guess they have no intention to carry the product in the future. BTW, also contacted Brodmann's piano HK dealer and they only interested to sell Brodmann's piano. So we are the handful of people in HK who own Bosendorfer's speaker!
- #13 [francosk], 09-01-12 16:04Hi Myers,
Yes, I was very sad to hear that Bosendorfer would drop the project as I thought the VC series is a brilliant design and it sounds really great. By the way, comparing the logo of Brodmann & Bosendorfer, I thought that Bosendorfer one is more elegant and classic.
The Brodmann website didn't mention their distribution network but just simply says that it would enhance the current network. So, I think the HK dealer would still be the same.
Thanks a lot for the CD and I was impressed by its recording quality. I haven't got much change to my setup, except selling my iTransport. However, I'd got new toys, the Nikon D700 + a ultra-wide angle zoom. It is a great camera and I love it very much. Haha..
Cheers,
Franco - #12 [Myers], 09-01-12 15:52francosk
Nice to know that the VCs still exist but how about the HK dealer, will they continue to carry the products? BTW, how's the sound of the CD give you last time? Any new developments in your system, not much for mine, only bought additional CDs! - #11 [francosk], 09-01-12 14:48
- #10 [francosk], 09-01-12 14:26
- #9 [francosk], 09-01-12 14:20Just came across the Brodmann web site, it seems that it has acquired the Bosendorfer's audio team and will continue the VC series plus something new from 1-Jan.
Glad to hear that this great design of the VC series from Bosendorfer can continue.

- #7 [francosk], 08-06-29 01:32benchocl 兄,
I am using Bosendorfer's speaker cable. Want to share my experience with you about the "speed".
I found that sometimes, the speed is affected very significantly by the position and toe-in angle. When I was experimenting the sweet spot for my VC2, I found that there is some spot and toe-in angle that will make the VC2 sound extremely slow, even I didn't change any other thing for the setup. This behavior happened regardless of whether I keep the grill on or off.
Hope it may help. - #6 [benchocl], 08-06-28 19:49我都有對 VC2,想問有沒有喇叭綠線,但聲音要快,謝謝
