- #2 [CKKeung], 10-11-19 09:26Many good designs aiming at audiophiles:
- 10ps crystal-oven clock
- fan-less no-noise linear power supply with toroidal mains transformer
- built-in mains filtration
- the 2TB hard drive cushioned on 8 layers of noise-cancelling padding
- supports WAV, FLAC, 128/320kbit/s MP3 and 128 AAC
- RCA and XLR analog outputs
Hope that the price is not sky high! - #3 [ssphkg123], 10-11-19 09:48Unfortunately, still no direct access to the internal hard disk from PC.

Not sure whether its internal HD can be accessed/controlled by external PC or not.

Looking at the specs, seems like the previous model, no direct access from PC, the USB port is for backup purpose (propriety format). - #7 [haoa], 11-02-06 05:43Please note the negative press this new player has been getting. A customer has got two defective units in France and one unit appears to have been returned by another customer!

I wonder if the Hong Kong agent would offer this option?

- #10 [audiophilelp], 12-02-08 19:49Any other similar options? I am looking for a multipurpose music machine as server, storage, CD ripping and DAC. Unfortunately I dont know this brand well and the 06HD cannot be a DAC alone. Anyone has better idea? How about Weiss MAN301?
- #11 [ttyau], 12-10-31 16:10It seems not many c hing talking about this product! Is it good! I call the distributor for information. They are quite nice and informative. For HKD4x,xxx cost, all in one!
How does it compare with Meridian Soloos or Naim NDX?

- #13 [newkidwai], 12-11-01 23:39I only have tried it briefly at shops. 06HD has a higher grade DAC chip and probably better analogue circuit compared to 04HD. It’s user interface is quite friendly. The ripping part is foolproof in that it can automatically retrieve album picture and song list from internet. So if you have so many CDs you cannot even find, it is very convenient to cover them into computer stream format for easy search and playback.
However, the drawback to me is the file format it uses. It is not compatiable with aiff format so will require duplicate storage as flac format if you also have mac or itunes library. - #14 [ttyau], 12-11-05 21:26Thanks new kid hing
Do you think the sound quality is good compare to naim NDX? Of course, it seems the olive is more user friendly. - #15 [Leooel], 13-02-03 01:36how is the sound compared with cary 306?
- #16 [homantin], 13-03-30 18:24Hi. Anyone using olive 6hd? I just got one.
